    Default City hustle

I've been dancing for 2.5 years, 3 months of it in NJ at a full nude juice bar and the majority of it at a nice topless bar in upstate NY. Over the last few months, however, my club had been really dead, since it's in the middle of nowhere, so I decided to start working in NYC. I just started Wednesday, and did another shift last night. It's easy to get dances, but most guys just buy one dance from each girl that asks, since every girl is hot. However, I know that there's big money here, but I have to get it by selling rooms. If I only do dances, I average about the same as at my home club.

My old club is easier to sell rooms, since they have a 15 min option for 100, a half hour for 220, and dances are mid-contact (grinding is allowed, light touching of the legs, back.. which is how i manage to sell strings of dances to most custies). In NYC, dances are no grinding at all, mostly airdancing, which is fine by me except that it is hard to sell strings. Rooms are around 365 for a half hr, maybe about 700 for an hour.

Since there are so many hot girls on shift, guys just want to buy single dances all night. It's hard for me to sell rooms.. What most of the dancers seem to do is go up to every guy and ask for a dance, get paid and leave right away. There's not much talking involved and therefore not much time to sell a room. I always ask for a dance and if the guy seems interested, I suggest the room, but most guys don't seem interested in spending that kind of money.

Is anyone here familiar with how to sell champagne rooms in this type of environment?
    Thank you in advance

I'm curious if your club could be Lace in W Nyack?Haven't been there in years and wondering how things are over there.Been trying to make it up there, but no time.
Yeah,Manhattan clubs are all about champagne rooms.Although heard in Flash it's possible to bank without selling them. Not sure, been there, but never worked.Curious about that too.
    Keep us posted please!!

Yeah, were you at Lace, West Nyack?
Are you at Rick's in the city?
If so, you CAN grind. You just have to have your feet on the ground at all times and don't do it for too long but yes, selling strings is hard cause guys would rather buy one dance fromeach girl it seems. You do have to stay a little to actually sell a room. They ARE interested in spending that kind of money. If not, they wouldn't come to the most expensive clubs in the city and would instead go somewhere cheaper outside of Manhattan. When it's busy and I dance for a guy, I always mention rooms usually WHILE dancing. You can make a lot of money JUST doing single dances and hopping around but that gets exhausting. Sell rooms. That's where the big money is.

yes, i was working at Lace W. Nyack and am now at Rick's. Lace has been really dead lately so I wanted to try out the city cause I heard there's a lot of money there. I've only done 3 shifts so far, and so far have made a bit more than I would at my last club, since I am not used to the quick hustle. Getting dances is really easy but I take so long trying to get my damn gown back on, I feel like it wastes a lot of my time. I feel like the only way to make my time more worthwhile is to sell rooms, which I only seem to be doing once a night. At my last club, I could make more than other girls just by doing long strings of dances, but in the city one hour in the CR trumps half a night of dances!

Thanks for the info on Lace,BTW!Was that at night or day shift? It's a great club, but kind of hidden and you can't get there without a car.It seemed it was more geared to locals out there (which are wealthy).I worked there a short time around 6 years ago.And the Manhattan clubs are easier to get to and draw in tourists,as opposed to Rockland.Just different types.
Was it hard to get hired at Ricks? How hard to sell dances? Thanks again for answers!

I always worked Lace during night shifts. I did a mid-shift once (4PM) and it was soo dead, I didn't make money until night shift. Day shift is mostly regulars. I really do think it's a great club, but the location definitely draws a different crowd. People in the city are so different, I'm still adjusting.

Rick's was not difficult to get hired at, I think they care most about the girls being in good shape/thin. You audition by dancing on one of the side stages. Only one of the stages has a pole, so dancing is mostly swaying while standing on both feet. Dances are easy to sell, most guys are there to buy dances.

I think Lace in Nyack is like more locals and I didn't really see anyone that really had money like that to spend when I worked there the last few times. Also, the housefee is almost the same as Rick's which really baffles me. The dressing room is so so so small and some of the ladies there really need to hang up their heels. Just my opinion.

Yeah, you just have to get used to getting the gown on and off. Some gowns because of the fabric and strings are easier to put on and off, though. You can wear short dresses on the weekends, though. (Ricks)
