Question fraxel laser and CO2 laser resurfacing for face

Has anyone done it?How was your experience?Any problems healing? How long before being out in the sun or salons?
They're running a very good special in a known upscale salon here in Tyson's,a package of 2 fraxels and 1 CO2 for 1999.I've seen some girls with fantastic results, but heard bad stories too.
Also, would it be better to have it done in the fall as opposed to summertime to be able to be outside and go to beach etc?
    Thanks for any info!!

Be careful with lasers! I've researched them a little but I think unless you have SERIOUS wrinkles or sun damage, you can end up doing more harm than good.

I believe it was the CO2v(could be wrong) that results in fat loss as a side effect. I think the fraxel is less aggressive. Good luck!

Thank you so much for that!Yeah...I'm getting kind of scared about that and sounds like yes,it might be of best benefit to serious deep wrinkles or bad acne scarring.I don't have any of those, just some sun damage, but being a blond,I think sunspots or freckles, esp in summertime, will always be there, had them all my life.
And the fat loss? That makes sense and sounds scary too.
I'm still interested if anyone has any more opinions or experiences, but will not get it done,at least not now, maybe in a few years.
Actually the chemical glycolic peels work pretty good too.I get them on ebay, cheap and effective.
    Thanks again!

I've never done those lasers but I've done smoothbeam laser. It is way way better to do your laser work in the winter. Its a pain to stay out of the sun all summer and miss everything! After any skin work, laser, peels, dermabrasions, etc, your skin is super super sensitive to the sun and prone to sunburn. If you can pay now, laser in the fall I'd go with that option.

Careful, careful! A friend of mine was seriously burned by a bad laser procedure. She's suing the doctor, in fact. It's taken her two years to heal.

Check out IPL photofacials, they actually work better fixing these types of things (sun damage, freckles, discolorations, hypopigmentation). I am starting them next month!

I did a series of six micro peels (microdermabrasion followed by an intensive chemical peel) and although my skin looked flawless after I healed, eventually it became WAY hypopigmented where it peeled. This is not uncommon, it happens to many people, so now it looks a little mottled/discolored, not as even. IPL Photofacials are the gold standard for fixing pigmentation issues (not scarring or texture though, that would be the Fraxel or Co2 laser), not to mention there 's no downtime like with peels or lasers.

You can say that again.. not just on here but men in general. Guys are so damn lame, the only way they can halfway make up for it is by opening their wallets.
