    Question Can u dye weaves?

I have a Jess Simpson clip on bangs, they look nice, but they're not quite the hair color I need, does anyone know if they can be dyed? They're non-human hair. Thanks!

I really, really, really would not recommend dyeing fake hair. It can turn out rather splotchy, where the color deposits more in some areas and the color never seems to take no matter what you do. Most of the time that stuff is some sort of plastic and it loses all of it's luster after you do anything to alter it.

Why don't you try to get some nice human hair extensions? If you look around they don't have to be too expensive. Honestly the best ones I've found have been at ethnic hair supply stores or from headkandy online.

    Goodluck!

Do not try to dye them if they aren't human hair. It can be done but the process will be a pain in the ass, you most likely won't get the color you're looking for and the hair will get yucky not long after.
Follow your heart and do what feels right for you, because that’s living. Everything else is dying.

Duh Re: Can u dye weaves?

Oh, ok & thanks so much dolls! The lady working @ Sally's told me I could dye them, although she might've been referring to the ones they sell there, which are mainly human hair.
Ugh, another return to Ulta, for credit, oh well! My hair seemed to be the right color to match the clip on bangs! However, under lights, etc., it has a reddish cast (my natural hair that I dye & streak).

Hmmmm... In theory, you can go darker, or tone the "hair" to match your shade. But I can't speak as to the quality or permanence of the results.

Go to your neighborhood haircare superstore, buy a bag of lower-quality human hair in exactly the color you want and a couple of toupee clips. What did Jessica Simpson charge you for that "bang piece"? Trust yourself to make your own!
