Mind Blowing Being recognized. Need advice

Hi ladies. So I recently switched to a new club. I had worked at my previous club for 2 yrs but had always wanted to go to this new club because it is the best. There was always one thing that kept me from not going to work at this club, a couple yrs ago I worked as a cocktail server at this club for 1 month during this time my sisters friend from high school came i a few times. So although I wanted to this club the fact that I knew this kid that came in greatly deterred me. So I have been working at the new club for 2 weeks now and last night as I was sitting on a mans lap about to give a ld I turned around and saw this guy. I think he was looking at me and i'm sure he saw me but as soon as I looked in his direction he turned quickly and bailed, I did the same.

SOOOO...what I need help with is how do you deal with running into people you know? I am so scared of running into him again. Do I acknowledge him? Do I wear a wig when I see him there? Do I quit ?

Please tell me what you have done in similar situations? or What would you do?

There are lots of ways you can try to significantly alter your appearance at the club -- extensions/wigs, colored contacts, dramatic makeup, etcetera, but failing that, I think you'll just have to accept that running into someone you know every once in awhile is inevitable.

I do wear extensions to work but I guess I could do heavier make-up as well. I guess really the main thing is I will need to get used to it. That will be the most difficult. Thanks for the reply.

Definitely don't quit because of that guy! Recently a girl from my high school was at my club and unfortunately she saw me before I saw her. She was actually really cool with everything and I doubt she has told anyone else. It was really awkward and just a weird situation but it's something you just might have to deal with!

Oh and another time my sisters friend came in and I tried hiding from her but she was not leaving anytime soon so rather than just letting her see me on stage and thinking "What...is that...MICHELE?!?" I went up to her first and just said hi and asked her not to tell my sister where I work. She was also really cool with it but obviously was really surprised to see me (better seeing me that way then when i'm on stage naked!). When she saw I was going on stage next she casually went to the bathroom and to talk to friends outside. lol

So, I guess my point is that eventually you are going to have to deal with these situations, but what I think is best is to just acknowledge the person and talk to them and say hi. It may be extremely awkward but it's better than having them only see you 'as a stripper' so they know you are still the same person, ya know what i mean?

Thanks! That was great advice! This guy is very good friends with my sister so I called her and she pretty much said the same thing you did! Thanks again!

What happens in the club stays in the club. Hell, I danced for my next-door neighbor one time.
