    Mind Blowing thinking about pawning...

    ..pawning my laptop to help pay for my dancer permit ($300)
    whats the process for pawning something and getting it back..
    i was going to pawn it after auditions and then try to buy it back the following week..
    first time ever pawning so eeek..im a little naive on this..

    You're probably better off selling your laptop on ebay. You may end up paying the pawn shop twice as much or more as you what get, to buy back your laptop.

    Figure out the interest rate on a pawn loan, you will probably decide not to do it.

    ^^^ agreed ... the effective interest rates on pawn loans qualify for 'usury' !!!

    Yes, the average interest rate on a pawned item is 20%, so if you pawn the computer for $300 then you will have to pay back $360.

    I believe I also mentioned before that you would be better off selling some things. Another thing you could do though is simply create an account where people can donate to you. There's a bunch of websites that do this... look into ChipIn.

    Girl go to a club that doesn't require a license, even if you have to sit in the car or on a train for a few hours to somewhere like SC, and you'll have the money in two nights. Do you really want to risk your laptop and everything on it, not to mention have to pay back 20%+ just to get it?
