Default Dressing room vs. on the floor/stage

How much time do you spend in the dressing room compared to the amount of time you spend on the floor and doing dances? Just trying to get a feel for what is normal..like, how much time do you spend getting ready in the DR before work, do you take a dinner break, time for touch-ups etc.

The DR at my club is EXTREMELY small and I'm new so pretty much nobody talks to me so I spend as little time in there as possible....which I realize is probably a good thing. I do my make-up and hair at home before work so I only go in the DR to change then go right out onto the floor when I get there. I only work 4 hours at a time so I don't need a dinner break. I go into the DR maybe 3-4 times shift for a 2-3 min breather/make-up and hair touch-up.

OMG 1 customer all day! That's crazy! Do you just do day shifts to put in your time so you can do night shift?

If I'm not busy I go to the dressing room before each stage rotation. This allows me to pop a breath mint, re-apply any make-up or perfume, fix my hair, & generally freshen up. The stage is your advertising time... therefore you should try to present yourself the best that you can when you are using it.

Very rarely do I use the dressing room to chit-chat though.

I spend a lot of time in the dressing room checking on my makeup and hair, spraying myself with body spray, etc... I'm probably in there for an hour or more during a five hour shift. And sometimes I just need a break from interacting with customers.

Plus... I get pretty sweaty and need to cool off a lot. Heh.

The dressing room where I work is pretty big and spacious, and there are usually a few comfy chairs to sit on when you need a break. Buuut yeah it's kind of a waste when you can be on the floor making $$$.

    I'm a lazy stripper sometimes.

a lot. sc dressing rooms are my favorite place. i know that sounds so ridiculous but that is where i met my best friends, where i made the most ridiculous memories, where i took my favorite candid photos of women i love...a good dressing room environment is essential to keeping the good mood that will make me money all night.

Depends on my mood. If I wish I wasnt there and Im hiding then I end up in the dressing room, but generally I just pop in there before and after every podium to count my tips, touch up my hair and makeup, check my phone and maybe have a quick chat but over a 7 hour shift I probably spend less than half hour total. I mostly get ready at home which takes 2 hours usually with showering and hair and makeup.

when i worked at a club where we sold dances, i spent about 30min total in th dressing room from the time i checked in until the time the shift was over (7-8hrs). the dressing room was plenty big, i just hated the bs and drama that went on. i preferred to keep myself.

when i worked where it was stage only, no dances, and basically no real regulars, i spent 80% of my night reading in the dressing room.

All depends on the club and your temperament.

I RARELY walk back into the dressing room. Only is absolutely necessary. I carry things for quick touch ups in the bathroom with me but otherwise I'm always on the floor if I'm not in rooms.

Getting ready depends on how ready I am when I get there and what time I get there. Usually 15-30 mins.

If it's quiet I'll run back and spend about 5 or 10 mins there touching up my hair and make-up, but if it's busy I can be on the floor for 3 hours straight. So I'd say probably about 30 mins out of a 6-7 hour shift.

I never go in the dressing room unless I'm getting on or offstage, there are no customers, or I'm pissed off. I don't know how much that adds up to, but I rarely feel like I'm wasting time. Somehow, I've also managed to make best friends there. Stripper best friends are my favorite best friends.

I'm in there for at least an hour or two getting ready to hit the floor. But, once I do I only go in quick before stage to drop off money and freshen up and right after to do the same thing. If it's really slow I might order food or play on my phone for 15 min so I'm not just moping around the club.

I try to stay out of the dressing room unless it's realllly slow. Dressing rooms are breeding grounds for negativity. If some girls aren't making money and you are, watch out! They'll be in there and saying shit like, "Well if I was being a WHORE I'd be making money like SOME of these other girls too." Ugh.. So I'd rather sit at the bar and be the first one to greet the guys when they come in.

i've noticed a lot of dancers don't have very good social skills, which is so strange to me. like, they can't tell whether someone does not mind being bothered or not, or when paying a compliment will be a good icebreaker, or when they're intruding into a clique. if you are being awkward in the dr, avoiding eye contact and pretending to not be around others, i would judge you too

i feel like increasing one's number of friends at work increases earnings, as friends will help you hustle customers, break ice when approaching large groups, do not step on toes, etc.

but then, i love women and get super energy by being surrounded by them and have always been able to connect very easily with women.

i spend about 15 mins at the beginning of my shift applying makeup and getting ready. during my 8 hr shift i'm only there for a couple mins at a time to check my phone, have some water, and use the bathroom. if im there any longer i'll get dragged into a conversation and waste work time! i always like to stay on the floor to hustle or at least observe the custies to see who's spending.

Yeah, this. I try to stay out of the dressing room except to take small breaks throughout the night and re-apply makeup/change outfits.

I find they're a breeding ground for negativity too, and rumors and drama. If you stay out of the DR, then you tend to stay out of the gossip at the club. Which works for me. Even though I'm 5'7" and 160+lbs most of those tiny girls could take me in a fight. I'm not one for confrontation.
