    Default streamate and

I think I understand 'cause my earnings on sm are not as' good!

I registered through internetmodelling and not directly sm!

I think internetmodelling by 20% of earnings
    Streamate 35%!
    internetmodelling not a minimum payment
    sm yes! 200..it is possible?

I'm trying to create a new account on sm
even if I keep active internetmodellimg
I do not know if I can do it!

is a studio for streamate. streamate might block you from creating a new account - i think they enforce a waiting period for models who used to work for that studio, but not totally sure. :\

You can't work both! I think if you're with IM,once you quit you can't for SM directly until after a year. I ALMOST signed with them(before I ever found this forum) and thats what I was told. When I asked if they were the same.

    This is correct.

Primula, did you actually begin camming on yet, or you JUST got signed up? They make you wait one year from your "last performance date" on before you can work on Streamate directly. This is what I had to deal with last year.

I agree that it's best to go with the site directly instead of the studio, but here are my thoughts on this particular situation.

You have to make a decision. You can A) quit but then still have to wait one year before joining Streamate. Just keep in mind that if you do this, you won't be working on ANY of these two sites, so I'm hoping you're doing well enough with other income(s) before closing your account. Yeah, it sucks that it's a studio paying only 20%, however if you're doing much better on there than on other sites you're on, and you want money NOW and ain't trying to wait around a whole year for some other site's approval, I don't think it'd be so terrible if you B) just stayed with for now. Plus you might have awesome regulars who spend all (or most) of their credits on you and tip you GOLD whenever they can.....pretty cool.

It truly sucks the way cam sites in general pay their models (I used to think ImLive had the lowest percentage with their 30%, but nope... has them beat), but as long as you're making good or great money and are accomplishing your financial goals, and you love your job, that's a blessing. So many people hate their jobs and are miserable, and that's no way to live. I feel sorry for them.

I couldn't tell from your post if you actually began working on yet, or if you JUST signed up. Maybe if you only signed up but haven't begun the actual camming yet, it won't count as your first "performance date," but I'm not sure. Do you have Janet as your agent? She's pretty cool.

Direct sites do pay more, and we will always tell the ladies on here that it's best to go with the direct site (go with the higher percentage, when possible!). But you're in a situation that I was in last year. Back then I kinda went crazy signing up for different sites, not realizing the difference between studios and "the real thing," and by the time I realized the /Streamate connection, it was too late cuz I had already began working on .

I don't want anyone biting my head off for this post or misinterpret what I'm saying (direct sites are the way to go, no doubt about that). But given this particular situation, she might be better off staying with for now, since the only other alternative results in her NOT making money on either of the two sites.

Again, I'm not clear on whether she's already begun broadcasting on I.M. or if she still hasn't. If she hasn't broadcasted yet and has the opportunity to get out of it now and go right to Streamate, I'd say go for it...go with Streamate.

I know they had some kind of weekly bonus when I was going to sign up. That was one one of the reasons why I was going to,thought it was pretty cool. I wonder if they still have that?

Internet Modeling doesn't just work with Streamate, you can also work on other sites through them including sites they own. They pick the highest paying network for you based on your profile. I've worked with them for about 6 months, and I have more traffic then I had when working directly with Live Jasmin, and I make more. My shows are on many sites at the same time, and I don't have to apply with each one directly. Getting paid weekly in one deposit is also nice, and yes they still have the 20% bonus.

Anyone can promise higher percentages, but getting paying customers is another story. I'll take 20% of $2000 over 65% of $200 any day!

Good point, but working on streamate and working on is the same. Same site, different payouts. Streamate pays 35% pays 20%

Why on earth would you want 20% of $2000, when you can have 35% of $2000?

That makes no sense at all. Unless you are really a recruiter trying to trick girls into believing that 20% is better than 35%

I signed up with ModelXonline and then tried to sign up with Streamates (as well as Internet Modeling) thinking they were 3 different sites. I guess I didn't quite grasp the concept of a studio. Streamates turned me down saying I already had an account, and I didn't get why until reading this. So am I in the same boat so far as being paid 20% and having the option of quitting ModelXOnline, and having to wait a year before getting my 35% from Streamates directly? I am so mad at myself.

Contact them and ask them is there a contract, and if so to please release you from it. I doubt they will, but you can try. Sorry that happened to you.

Thank you Ameera. I contacted Streamate as well as ModelXOnline. ModelXOnline actually pays out 25%, so it's not quite as bad as I thought. I told them to give me a reason not to quit and work directly for Streamate (even if I have to wait up to a year to do it), and they cited their time consitency bonuses.

ModelXOnline pays a $50 bonus for every week you work at least 30 hours, $100 for 40 hours, and I think $150 for 50 hours or more. This is nice, especially if I have a slow week, but it isn't enough to offset what I'd be making at 35%. *Sigh* I will have to see what Streamate says.

Your welcome. Is this your only site? If so, I would suggest you sign up for more. I work for 5 sites. Actually 4 because the 5th simply does not count lol.

I honestly would quit ModelXOnline. They are simply a pimpin studio. You do not need them at all, if you have your own computer, internet, and a room to work from. All they did for you was help you with the sign up process. Other than the bonuses, which is your money anyway they do absolutely nothing, but get paid off the sweat of your back.

Search the forum for other sites. I really seriously hate to even hear that you have been duped by these people. You can definitely do better, and once you are, you will realize that they can take their bonuses and shove it up their ass.

I've been doing a research for internet modeling and guess what.. I applied with few days ago. Thanks to this discussion on this forum I cancelled the application with Interent Modeling - it was in progress and not finished. I signed up with streamates directly.

I signed with flirt4free too. Do you suggest me to sign in with one more site? My free Cams?

I read is better to "work" on many sites at the same time.

Which sites are you working for at the same time? Any sugestions?

That is just So WRONG! It certainly is not legal in right to work states. i.e. no one can prevent you from working unless they compensate you. Non-compete clauses are BS and unenforceable unless they pay you to not work for that period of time.

*I'm not a lawyer, and don't know what state you or the IM firm are incorporated in.*

Perhaps there is a lawyer here that can add some muscle to assisting these ladies that are being taken advantage of?

thanks for the report on the above post, y'all

I think the confusion here was that this thread originated in 'Other Work', where blues are permitted to post. As of tonight it has a redirect from OW to CC, so the blue ribbon clearly made an error, thinking he was still in OW when he wrote his contribution. I sent him a note reminding him of the posting rules for cc, but it's clear to me he made an error. He's not a trouble-maker here.

This issue pops up from time to time as old camming-related threads re-emerge in ow and are redirected here, but will solve itself as time goes by.

All I'll say about the content of his post is that US employment statutes and conditions for non-compete clauses unfortunately do not apply to non-US companies.

    Hello,

My name is Tammy. Let me tell you a little about a business opportunity that was shared with me in January of 2011. The last 15 or so years, the Internet has enabled the large porn corporations to expand there brand outside of the Southern California region in record proportions. This explosive growth spells a very lucrative opportunity for talented individuals to financially thrive without every stepping foot inside a studio.

Judging from your pictures you truely enjoy your profession, as you should. I work in the industry so I understand the business from your point of view. We represent the frontline of a recession proof industry but here's what I discovered! Statistics show that every second, $3,075.64 is being spent on pornography, 28,258 Internet viewers are viewing pornography and 372 Internet searchers are typing adult search terms into search engines and this is in the United States alone.

I use to make between $8000-10,000 a month. Charging $400/hr and averaging 26 clients a month (6.5 per week) bringing in roughly $10,000. The most I ever did was $15,000 and that was on a European tour, so I spent about $4000. I'm independent so on average I spend around $2000/mo on advertising and overhead expenses, placing my net at roughly $8000. In a bad month I would see 6-7k.

Since I started converting my webcam clients into physical customers. My regulars have doubled and I'm seeing on average 5-6 extra clients from private chat rooms per month. I consider myself to be attractive but there's women that I would kill to be. Creativity, hard work and committment has launched my success.

On average I devote 15-20 hours a week which adds up to be less than 2-3 hours a day. This adds an additional $1500-$2500/week plus the extra clientele, bringing my monthly earnings to around $18,000-20,000.

Take a few minutes out of your busy day to check it out... www..com/16147/application.htm

    Best regards,

    Tammy
