..Since he thinks that at his tender age of 49 he is too old to have kids(he does not have any). He is also afraid to get married again. How do you handle it, ladies?

I would move on. He's clearly stated his position, and I am assuming you are far younger- you have time to find someone else who suits your needs and wants.

my dad had me when he was in his 50s. 49 ain't that old, albeit does he really want to be paying for college when he is about to retire?

He's probably just not into you and you deserve better. I know people older than 49 having kids and that's not old anymore. You said he doesn't want to get married again so I assume he was married? My experience is that divorced men often do not want to marry again which is why I avoid most of them.

I'm going to pretty much agree with what has been said above. He's old enough to know what he wants, & he has clearly stated it. Leave now, look for someone who has goals that match yours for life.
If his change... he'll find you!
Don't you ever sleep?
Not at night...that's when the stars have rather better things to do. They're coming out, shining, that sort of thing.

Thank you for your support, girls! I am getting ready to move on .
"49 ain't that old, albeit does he really want to be paying for college when he is about to retire?"
I don't think it could be a problem, he is financially stable and has a good job.
"You said he doesn't want to get married again so I assume he was married?"
Yes, he was. He thinks marriage is a huge change and i doubt he likes kids that much.
One thing i got straight for sure:
Never make someone a priority when all you are to them is an option.
Oh well, show must go on!
