So, I love how honest and (generally) helpful everyone on here is. Hence i felt like this would be a good place to vent a little and solicit some advice/thoughts whatever. I (should have) graduated with a BA in elementary ed. with a minor in language arts this spring. Hooray for fiiiinally being done with school after changing schools and majors it felt like forever. I tend to be a little bit of a slacker but always pull off A's and B's and test well so everything was looking good. HOWEVER I mistrust the 'U' where I go because it seems like some details always slip through the cracks be it when I try and get financial aid, or signed up for a class, what have you. So about a moth prior to graduation I went to see an adviser just to double check that I was good to go, they were like yep! allll set! SO Im happy, I have a grad party with my family, all that jazz. Yesterday, a week AFTER the graduation ceremony I get an email from the adviser I saw, "Upon further review you are missing class X, which you need to get your minor. When are you planning on taking this class in order to graduate?" WTF?! Anyway I DIDNT take this class, but I DID take another higher level class in the same dept. and was told by another adviser it would substitute for aforementioned 'class x'. anyway no word back yet on what happens now but Im just really frustrated. Im so over it! I've already spoken with potential employers too, but I guess thats not going to work out now. BARF. I guess long story short anyone care to comisserate or have any words of wisdom?
