122 and a size 3/sometimes 5. Dancing has never had much impact on my weight; it's just not enough exercise to aid me in weight loss.

my reply to this question in another thread LOL

since I started dancing 3 years ago ive lost about 30 lbs total and dropped from a size 12 to a size 8 with the last 20 lbs/two sizes taking more dieting/exercise effort on my part than just dancing. Ive also gotten a lot more toned, when customers or bartenders that knew me from years ago run in to me now they go "WOW I almost didnt recognize you!"

I have seen a big increase in my earnings, I now make twice as much per shift as I did when I started, but this also has to do with my improved hustle, having a more professional look (stripper heels, acrylic nails, better hair, real outfits....omg when I was a baby stripper I wore daisy dukes and combat boots and had never even seen a straightener, it was bad), and working at nicer clubs, not just my weight. Although Im sure it is a factor

Dear whomever is in-charge of this world,

I got ripped-off! Next time I want this problem!

    Until then,

    Goes straight to the hips

When I started dancing I was 5'4.5 & a size 4, I believe 120 something lbs. When I moved to SF I lost weight & went down to a size 2. I have no idea what I weighed since I didn't have a scale there. It took me maybe 2 months to drop from a size 4 to a 2. I drank soda like crazy at work, but I was so busy that I rarely ate a real meal or went shopping.

I'm not sure on the what my heaviest weight was. I was at a size 14, probably 165 +/- something? That was when I quit the desk job & said "enough is enough"! I HATED the office work & one of my co-workers took out her decades of feminist "stuck in a dead end job because I'm a woman" hatred on me. In actuality she was OCD, as in used a hand typed label to mark the empty box in the storage room "empty box". I hated the phone calls, the paperwork, e-mails, ignorant co-workers, people not getting their jobs done, etc. I was taking out my displeasure in soda, hostess cupcakes & delivery lunches (sometimes dinner) every day that I worked, & in between breaks to Starbucks. I really plumped up. The doctor told me to quit my job because it was stress, but it took me over a year to do it. I lost 30lbs almost immediately (took a month & a half on the right diet).

Honestly, I have not found that my weight effected what I made... only how I felt about myself when I had to look at photos.

I posted about this on other threads but I went from a 10 to a 4ish at 5'5". I made good money then, but I make more now and the job is much easier. It's difficult to isolate how much of this is due to weight because I've also gained experience, grown my hair out, stopped wearing bad outfits (at least I hope so), etc.

I can see this happening to me as well. I'm not REALLY thin, but I am pretty slim. I work days (not because I'm fugly, but because it's ridiculously easy as there's zero competition) and I never get to eat!

I wake up in the morning, have coffee, no time for breakfast, don't get to eat at work, and by the time I get home, I'm ready for bed and I don't feel like preparing anything. There's been so many days that have gone by that I realized that I didn't get to eat anything AT ALL. Malnutrition, here I come!

I'm 5'5" and about 130 lbs, up from 122 when I began dancing. I don't really fluctuate too much-I've never been really slim nor too far over into the chunky catagory.

I am happiest with my weight being 120-125. I like my appearance more and feel less emcumberred. (I'm kind of klutzy)

I'm between 5'7" and 5'8", and I've danced from the 140's to the 180's in the last year, so a size 6-8 to a 10-12.

Dancing didn't help me lose a whole lot - maybe about 5 lbs at my heaviest, and my ass perked up a lot, but I had to incorporate some serious gym time to lose weight (which I have now gained back, and am trying to lose...again.).

Money was MUCH better and easier when I was thinner, and a large part of that is my confidence. I don't feel happy with my body when I'm heavier and so it's hard to convince men to spend time with me. Still, I don't think I look bad, just not at my best.

Adding in, I think if a person were to start doing really heavy pole-work stage shows they would probably lose inches of their midsection, but I don't fuss over my stage shows at all, so I never saw those results.

I was a size 15 when I started--now I am a size 4. I doubt I'll get much smaller than that. Work itself does not help me lose weight because I work mostly at bikini bars, not regular clubs, and it doesn't take that much energy. When I have worked at stage clubs, I lose weight easily and tend to eat like a horse. Pole work is incredible for keeping you fit and toned, especailly in the abs. I alwasy see an improvement in the abs area.

I think the change I have seen in my money has more to do with changes in the economy and the industry than with my weight. I made heaps of money in the late 1990's, when I was slim and young, but then that was when Bill Clinton was president and everybody had heaps of money to throw around. I came back to work when George Bush was president. ON the TV at the bar I saw the start of the Iraq war, Hurricane Katrina, the earthquake in Haiti, and the collapse of the financial system. Money was going down, and so was my weight, but I don't think one had much to do with the other. I lost some of my good regs to the thicker girls when I stopped being so thick. I lost some because they moved or because they lost htier jobs or they met somebody and lost interest in the bar. Most of my old regs don't come around any more, for me or anybody else. I have new regs now, but it was harder to build them up because the traffic in the bar has not been as good.

I've fluctuated a couple of dress sizes dancing. I started at a UK 10, went down to an 8, got it into my mind that I'd be better even skinnier and went down to a UK 6, back up to an 8 and now I'm near enough a 10 again.
My weight/size hasn't affected my earnings, only my experience has, but when I was a 6 although i felt I looked great i was horribly bad tempered and grouchy all the time. I feel most confident as an 8 but I still work it and make a killing even when I've been eating too much.

I think I was like 145 at my biggest dancing. I look back at pics and don't think I should have been on stage. I wasn't toned at all (it was right after I had my son).
Going from 130 and then to 180 lbs with him...that realllly messed my body up.

I did do decent though when I first went back. I honestly believe I could have lost the weight, but I drank A LOT. A LOT of beer too....so my bulge never really went away.
That's when I started getting mean comments from guys like, "You're only 22, you shouldn't have this pooch, you should go to the gym and work out..." "When's the baby due?" I cried.
Only drinking more. Then money got shitty because I would just spend my time getting wasted....

anyway...rambling on with my sob stories...lol

but yeah, then I quit for about 4 months and stopped drinking. That's what REALLLLY seemed to help me lose weight to be honest.
Although, I did go back to drinking as soon as I went back to work...(among other things. )
but when I moved out here to Wisconsin, I quit doing what I was doing (I was still drinking) but after my DUI, I quit doing that too. Started exercising a little more, and got to be a little more comfortable in my skin.

    Here's some pics: *PICS DELETED*
First pic was before any kids..(oh how I miss that body!) LOL
The second was after my son, at my biggest...around 145 lbs
and the third was when I finally lost the extra weight and toned up a bit...135lbs
(still maybe not entirely perfect, but for me, I was a lot happier than how I looked in the second pic)

Praying I can get back to where I was QUICK after this baby.
I do plan on having A beer, but not gonna be binge drinking like I was. That definitely did not help my body at alllll.

I hope that after this baby, I can maybe somehow get to my pre baby weight, 125-130. As long as I can at least get back to 135 and somewhat toned, I'll be happy though.

ur adorable luxi. just an aside have you found a club in GA or SC yet? I am curious about the Athens clubs I told you about and think you could do well there, even before you lose weight as you were talking about.
