Mind Blowing C-Section Scar Shelf Help!!

Alright so i recently had a c-section...and now there is this swelling above my incision which is dubly termed the "shelf" - i want this ugly sight to go down which most say will go down because it most likely is swelling - though some if it may be accumulated fat tissue...

    my question...

...does anyone know how to get rid of this quickly...

i really would like to go back to work by my 8 week appointment!!!

(and sure as hell don't want to look disgusting)

Hey, I had this as well. Is it kinda like a "roll" but rock hard? I asked a doctor about it 'cause I was pretty freaked out and he said it was scar tissue and would take about 3 months to go away. I remember being pissed because it took a lot longer than that...like maybe 6 months? Unfortunately there is nothing you can do other than give your body the time it needs to heal.

Make sure you put ointment on it to help the scar heal. Aquaphor is a popular oinment brand among surgeons.

People also talk about silicone sheets being good to help reduce scaring, so you may want to look at something like:
