Default SYTYCD--exactly why we need standards

Ok how is it that a show about dancers choices to let that whatever she was missing teeth, clown made up, sloppy giggly mess represent strippers?

I think they hired her to lie & put down all strippers especially when they claimed she was the only 1 ever on the show -- like really I don't think so.

Anyhow the 1st dancer Amber from San Fran was hella hot, but I could buy her being a stripper from her style of dance

However it really sucked that standards of strippers really have become that low that they mocked our profession with that kind of low blow joke of a socalled stripper

Regardless I'm sure they get tons of girls on the show who work as strippers but most aren't going to come out and say that. Any reality tv show is so overproduced and fake anyways, you can't believe half the shit they say IMHO.
SYTYCD Canada is the best!!!! Even i want to do Nico & I don't do guys, but damn. Anyhow yeah it is overproduced/fake ect..ect still it's 1 of my fav shows & I'm sure many of the girls who have been on the show have showed alot more skin then they would air on the show, but the fake so called stripper clown just wasn't right. Stripper's get a bad rep as is without that on the show.

^^to say nothing of Rock of Love.

ya, a lot of reality shows find their cast at the SC.

It's why reality TV is so trashy

edit: dammit, I missed the first episode of so you think you can dance?

So you think you can dance is still an awesome show, despite that train wreck of a girl. Many of the auditions were amazing dancers.

you know what? I'm sure that they have had plenty of strippers on there and just don't know it. We are like ninjas, afterall...

realistically, dance classes, studio time and whatever else is expensive. I'm sure that more than one person trying to achieve their dream has turned to some kind of sex work. And if you're trying to be a professional dancer, why not strip?

I have to say though....beyond her looks, makeup skills, clothing choice, dancing...etc... she seems to have a really sweet personality. I havnt watched much SYTYCD, but from what Ive seen on Idol, so many people with this "Im the shytness dont mess with me cause Imma star/diva" attitude, and I just totally didnt get that vibe from her.

I woudlnt be surprised if shes just....really that sweet and none of her friends wanted to break it to her not to try out, or been encouraging her to not hurt her feelings. I can imagine that her personality, more than her looks and skills, is what gets her through if she is a dancer.

For sure though, I can see without doubt how much it sucks to see her up there as a national representation on such a popular show of what a dancer is. Just confirms the prejudice people have against dancers and what they are all like, in their minds.

I thought she was cute with great energy and personality. Customers always tell me that they like to see a girl enjoy herself onstage, and I can picture her being a lot of fun.
