    Default Romantic Beach Vacation Adventure

I have not been on a vacation since entering the adult industry three years ago. My boyfriend and I have summer birthdays and have been going through a rough patch, so we are trying to plan a vacation together so we can just be alone and unplugged.

I'm tasked with picking the place and planning the details. I want to go somewhere beachy and warm with a romantic where we can do a mix of relaxing and adventure. I really want to make some memories while we're there. Here's the tricky part: He never gets excited about things in the future and he challenged me to find something to do/go that he'd really be looking forward to (obviously alone time with me he'll enjoy but I think he feels like he gets that every day at home). Also, due to a combination of our work schedules, we can't go for more than 3-4 days. And he is scared of open water so scuba diving anywhere is out.

I'm thinking Hawaii, the Dominican Republic or Grand Cayman. I know I can get my beachy, romantic thing in all of these places but can anyone recommend somewhere to go that has something really awesome to do or see once you get there? Sorry for the long rambling, too.

If he doesn't like open water and you still want a romantic beach setting, try somewhere in France.

Given that you live in CA, I'd rule out anywhere in the Caribbean since you're only going for 3 or 4 days. Shame things are going so bad in Mexico, because Los Cabos/Cabo San Lucas is absolutely beautiful. Although it probably would be less travel time than Hawaii, you're putting yourself at risk going to the caribbean this time of year because of hurricane season (June 1st to November 31st).

If you need help with a caribbean vacation, I'd be eagar to help, as I've been to nearly every single island.

Edit: Costa Rica might be perfect for this time of year. Flights are relatively direct, as well!

Rockette - thank you for the advice! Booking a vacation unknowingly during hurricane season would totally suck. I'm thinking maybe Grand Cayman? Is that considered the Caribbean? Also, we'd be going in early-August.

Side-note: I say 3-4 days... however, I'm a camgirl now and my boyfriend has an agent who supposedly works for him. If we have to take 5 days to go spend time together somewhere nice I personally think it's completely worth it. I was shooting for 3-4 days, it just doesn't seem like thats gonna be quite enough time.

I'm going to second Costa Rica. There would be plenty to see/do & its well known that they are good at really being a great tourist spot with friendly people. Plenty of outdoor stuff, zip lines, etc without getting in the ocean.

Not at night...that's when the stars have rather better things to do. They're coming out, shining, that sort of thing.

August is when hurricane season really starts to heat up for Grand Cayman. Hurricanes will form about 200 miles south of it, and move DIRECTLY north. Most often than not, these are tropical lows, but Cayman saw about 10 of them last year between August and October.

I'd avoid Grand Cayman in general though if you're truly looking to get away. While it is beautiful, it is far from uncrowded, especially with cruise ships stopping by some days to add 5000 to 15,000 people on the island at any given time. This makes traffic entirely crazy until they leave (typically 4 p.m.). It is a luxury vacation paradise though...

Given your travel time, Costa Rica is your best bet... but they have a storm season as well.

Mexico near the border and outlying areas are bad. Insulated places like Puerta Vallarta are not so bad. Talk to a travel agent and see what you can find. I enjoyed myself here.

Another vote for Costa Rica. They have some incredible beaches and in the interior, which aren't far away, they have the zip lines and the volcanoes...

The zip lines are indescribably fun, and there are all kinds of hot springs around the volcanoes which are both relaxing and beautiful. Sitting in the dark in a hot spring, watching lava come out of a volcano is pretty awesome.

Additionally Costa Rica might be the most tourist friendly country I've ever visited.
