Table dancing ON a table?

So I just started at a new club, in a new country, and like all my old clubs, they offer a table dance on the menu. Except here we have to put down a towel and dance on top of the table. I had to do one last night and it was so bizarre. I didnt know what to do.
Plus I was wearing a gown and I don't really know how to go from gown to nude sexily while rolling around on a table (this being a dining table height table in a little booth surrounded by high back sofas)
Has anyone else had to do a dance like this? How do you do it? Any tips?
I'm gonna go roll around on my coffee table now and see what happens...

Are you in DC?There's a club like that here.Never worked there,but would imagine it would be very difficult to get used to that!

i was going to ask if this was at dc, the stadium or whatever? i remember feeling so stupid when the owner was explaining this concept to me because he was acting like it was TOTALLY normal and i really could not...get it.

If your allowed to take your shoes off and stand in the booth. We do table dances at my club bit it's a pretty rowdy topless club so table dances involve lots of flipping and stuff. Most girls take their shoes off and dance use the booth itself to dance around in. Gives you something else to do and you don't have to worry about kicking people in the face as much.

I worked at a club where a long conference table was where we did the dances, no kidding. The table could get slippery so most of the time they would tell us to not wear shoes while dancing.

It's in Europe, and in an upscale champagne club. So everything has to be classy and elegant - something that doesn't come naturally to me!

Look up videos on burlesque, it will give you a better idea of how to perform on stage & on these small tables. While they aren't common, they are still around & many of the veterans here have encountered similar tables.

I agree. I think some of Dita von Teese's vids might be helpful. There's one of her doing a set in a glass bubble bath. Even though it's a glass (instead of a table), Dita's very good and making her movements interesting while still remaining in a small enclosed space. (So kinda like a table I guess.) I'll have to look on youtube to see if I can find it again.

Haha flashback to old school Atlanta. We did nude table dances on the table. They were cocktail style tables aka small. I'll never forget exiting said table and getting yelled at that i had not put my tback on before exiting the table. i hated them, everyone at the table got a look up for the price of the dance. Of course you did so many back then it didn't matter. I always thought i would break my neck. Of course if you have a roomy big table just do a floor show (if allowed) like you would do on the stage.

The tables that the table dances are done on at my club also have poles so that makes it a little bit easier to fill up the time, but the table doesn't offer enough footing space to do much in way of pole tricks. I would just pose and pivot sexily, do some fancy squats, maybe sit on the edge of the table and cross your legs, I second looking up burlesque videos, these kind of dances are more about being cheeky and seductive than about contact or performance like lap dances and stage shows.

We offer full nude table top dances at my club. I usually take my shoes and dress off before getting onto the table. Trying to dance on a 2'wx4'l table in 8in stilettos and trying to take off your dress= broken neck. If you could take your dress off right before you step up then I'd suggest doing that
