Have any of you local LV dancers ever been to this event (The BHOF one with the The Miss Exotic World Contest)? If so, how did you find it?
I went for the first time this weekend. It was quite interesting. I even took some master classes from some "legends". I have to admit I got vibed in a weird way from some of the aspiring burlesque girls, because I prefer to dance in boots w/ a bit of a platform that are five in., instead of the quaint 1950 style pumps for peep-toes. I don't rock a Louise Brooks or classic pin-up hair style. My hair is long, fine and curly and I don't like to mess with it that much.
Maybe I'm a bit overly sensitive, but I thought burlesque was about expressing your own style, not emulating everyone else.
Any comments?
