    My Co-workers.

A couple of them, if they were any dumber, would need to be watered twice a week.

Most modern parents. The fact that kids raised by these people will be running the country when I'm old scares me.

And lately more than usual - people with a lot to say about politics and societal issues who have NO FUCKING CLUE what the FUCK they're talking about. They read something online or watch one TV show and suddenly they have everything to say about everything. Add to this "cause" based platforms for politicians and the idiots who follow them, and people who get behind a candidate for no good reason at all. I have a middle-aged black woman as a good friend, who is highly intelligent, well educated, and generally well informed. All that went straight out the window in 2008. Obama went against half her personal positions and most of her beliefs but he was black, and she hasn't shut up about him since. If he murdered children on live TV and followed it with a speech about how much he enjoyed feeding kittens to fighting dogs before a fight, she would stand and applaud. Ugh.

Both of these are pet peeves of mine. I don't get why there are so many bratty kids and it's because of the parents. I have been so many places with screaming and running around kids and the parents refuse to yell at them. If I had done that my parents would have dragged me out of the place and spanked me. But nope not these kids.

Your second point I also agree with and see this all the time. It's not just politics but everything. I used to work in radio and have a degree in it so I like to think I am an expert. However I have been told by someone I know that they know more about it than me because they "listen" to the radio. WTF? I've seen people state they know something better than another because they read it online.

Not to get into politics but I know many who vote for politicians because of stupid reasons. I like to make an informed vote before I vote.

The fact that Herman Cain still has ANY support AT ALL is pathetic. Forget the sexual harassment crap - doesn't matter. When he first hit the scene, I wanted to hear more. There wasn't any. His 9-9-9 plan is all he has, and even that isn't very well developed. He' a one trick pony with a bad one trick. Next.

He won't get the nomination and never had a chance. I'm still thinking it'll be a Romney/Obama matchup but I could be wrong.

^lol - that's funny. Worse than her is Stephanie Meyer. Go die in a fire bitch, you got lucky once, you can't write, STFU.

God I hope you're right Kelly, 'cuz Romney would likely win and he's who we need and who we should have had in 2008. If there are better options out there - and I'm sure there are a few - they aren't running, lol. Romney is the best candidate we've had in decades. Finally someone I will actually be HAPPY to vote for! That's been a while. Like, never since I was old enough to vote, lol. There was a chance for another good one back in 2000/2004, but Powell wouldn't run. He's an amazing man & I would have been honored to vote for him.

We should start wearing masks when we're sick, like they do in Asia, and perhaps other countries. It can look weird at first, like you just busted out of a hospital, but it's very considerate. Everyday I see people hacking and wheezing without covering their mouths, and even if they do, the mask would still help. It'll never happen in this country, though.

Vanity..Even if it did the mask would never be plain..designer mask, the difference between cultures, practicality to attention.

ETA--Of course there are men who do this as well--I just have to deal with a lot more women at work doing it lol!

Dancers who tell me they are doing a stage skip when I have just announced them and started their song, usually by screaming at me as they run by the booth. And I don't get a dime of the 20$ fee for this--but I then have to find the next girl and make her dance to the first girl's music, for which I inevitably get blamed. And the ones who never, ever, ever tell me they are going up to Champagne Room, which is an automatic skip (95% of them in my club).

DJs with whiny, high-pitched, nasal voices who think they sound cool as shit, and never shut the fuck up on the mike. Managers who hire them and think they have a great DJ.

Dancers who blame me because the girls in front of them are in the Champagne Room and they have to go onstage sooner than they expected, or missed stage because they assumed no one would do a skip or a CR and went on break.

Dancers who decide they want to clean out their folders, delete all the good songs and leave the slow whiny shit and crap rap songs I'm not allowed to play, then get mad when I can't play it with the owner standing right next to the booth.

Controlling women who say they hate controlling men.

Women who assume their boyfriends can take me because they have 40 extra pounds of blubber.

Guys who let their girlfriends go into the men's room and stand outside the door all macho like, not letting any guys in to take a leak at midnight on saturday night. Never works if I have to go. Last guy who tried to push that one to the limit got a nice big upside down 'L' shaped bruise on his back from the front frame of the DJ booth.

This macho motherfucker newlywed who came in with his bride just now, whose birthday it is, and loudly corrected me about her name when I said 'Happy birthday to Sybil, welcome to the newlyweds!' on the mike. Maybe he doesn't like that she is a dancer, I don't know. I wonder if it bothered him when I said "I never know their real names." on the mike?

I don't know if it's been mentioned or not, but people who are rude to serving staff. I saw this on a poster once: "A person who is nice to you but rude to the waiter, or to others, is not a nice person"

It's okay to send things back, just do it nicely: "Excuse me, but I didn't realize this salad has pine nuts on it. I'm allergic to pine nuts. May I please have the [substitute salad] instead? Thank you."

What you shouldn't do is to assume the restaurant already knows about your pine nuts allergy and then proceed to curse out the server when you find them.

Also, I know it's a joke, but there's some truth to it: It's not a good idea to mess with people who handle your food.

I hate that the two twitter accounts that I follow for my astrological sign are run by illiterate douchebags. I can't retweet anything because they have glaring grammatical errors on all their really good tweets. If you're going to be that public, proofread, yes?

I may have mentioned this upthread but I just did in another thread and it's the way that obviously obese people call themselves, "average" "athletic" or "curvy" then when you point out someone who really is one of those they say "oh that person is skinny". wtf?

I hate when people tell me I am "too old" to be listening to many bands I do. I happen to like many recent bands like Arcade Fire, so what? Just because I am 40 I should listen to elevator music? I do like many older acts as well.

Oh and I have mentioned this countless times but am so tired of people telling me I should "settle" when it comes to men. Yes I have standards and yes it could mean I never marry but would prefer that to marrying someone with issues I can't deal with. Related to this, but I really hate when people online and offline say "if a guy isn't married by 40 there is something wrong". Um no, I have met many decent guys (relatives and people who married people I knew)who married later and had good reasons like concentrating on career or never met the right woman. Yet someone like this is often branded less desirable than a man married multiple times, multiple kids (in and out of marriage). Personally the guys I have seen the most anti marriage were all previously married not single men never married. Oh sure I have met weird single guys too, but far more who had been married.
