It really is a common name,I wouldn't worry about it. Most guys probably wouldn't even believe you. Would you believe me right now if I told you my name was Ashly to?They wouldn't think you'd have your real name on there? They'll probably just think that you chose a common name to use as your stage name and you don't have to state otherwise. Just go along with it.

hi
they told me the same thing that I have to have a new account to change my name which I find really crazy, I do it all the time with imlive and other site not sure why.![]()

They're not going to let you change it. She'll have no choice but to make a new account if she wants to change it. I'll have to warn you though its harder at first for your regulars to find you...if they find you at allEver since I made my new account I've been struggling terribly. The money just isn't the same!

I use my own name...its not my first name (theres a hint!) but its so freaking common and boring too... I think my mom got bored and just picked whatever for my middle nameBut I can at least say with honesty that its my name! The last name I always use is a variation on my own name, but super common, Im practically a Smith.
Your name has a unique spelling, but the traditional spelling you used make it a super common name. If it makes you feel better though, then yeah, just go ahead and start a new account. Thing is, that is your online identity, something to put a lot of thought into cause its your branding really, who you are when youre online. If youre not comfortable with it, go with something you are totally comfortable with.

Yeah I'd say you're good. Wouldn't worry if I were you![]()

i agree - i don't think it's a super huge deal. my display name is similar to my real name (both are uncommon, but my display name is a much more common variation) and i've never had any problems. then again, i'm also not super freaked about people finding me because there are only one or two people in my life for whom it'd be a huge issue (and they don't have enough bandwidth to surf porn sites, thank god!).
if it's going to cause you a huge amount of anxiety it might be worth changing before you get your account really established - don't wait and change it later - but it should be fine. i wouldn't worry too much.

This is where I think you need to do some more thinking....we're offering advice and such to be helpful to you, but the final decision should be based on the biggest most important thing in your business, in that you do what *you* are comfortable with....not how comfortable we are cause youre the one who has to go on cam with your name..not any of us!
There are a lot of good points in this thread, but if they do not make you feel more comfortable using that name, then Id really suggest a name you do feel comfortable with. That really is the beauty of working for yourself, youre in control and dont have to do anything you dont want to do... (except log in, my boss is so mean, always telling me I wont get paid if I dont log in...stupid little voice in my head)
