I think you're too young to do laser or have any chemical procedures done if nothing is really wrong with your skin. I am a big believer in doing little things to avoid big things when we're older. You're good with sunscreen and water but regular facials every 3-5 weeks, good skin care regimen, making sure that you do not sleep with makeup, exfoliation once a week make a difference in preventing wrinkles. I have no major wrinkles but I had a dermal filler and Im 25. I swear by Estee Lauder's Perfectionist [CP+]
Wrinkle Lifting Serum and Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex, it's a bit pricey but a little goes a long way. But you have to know your skin type and what products respond to it. Hope I helped

Here's something you can do right now: facial steaming.

Fill a pot half way with distilled water and bring it to a boil. In the mean time, as you wait, wash your face with a gentle cleanser. Do not apply anything after you wash.

Put your head over the pot and let the steam hit your face for 10-15 minutes. Use a towel to cover your head so the steam doesn't escape.

Use one drop of essential oil such as lavender, bergamot or neroli for added benefits and aromatherapy; however this is not necessary.

After steaming, take a soft face cloth to towel off any debris that accumulated at the surface. Focus on the areas where you had flaky skin and blackheads.

Rinse your face with ice cold water to close your pores.

Apply moisturizer. I used olive oil.

I did this for the first time last night and I immediately noticed a difference in the overall appearance of my skin. Before doing this, I have been using a glycolic acid peel, 25%, for one month, trying to achieve these results with no avail. ONE session of steaming has unclogged the pores on my nose and cheeks and had made my face super soft. AND it costs next to nothing! Check out this link for more info.

I use the Evis MD red light therapy system (amazing!). I also use retin-a and glycolic acid 30% at home peel 3 times per month.

I love my macrodermabrasian kit. have only been using it a couple weeks, and can see results. very cool. Takes off the dead layer of skin, very nice skin underneath.

Start exfoliating 2-3x a week with St. Ives apricot scrub. Wash it every day--- try angels on bareskin from LUSH. It's super natural and is incredibly calming and balancing. Steam as mentioned above. If you can get a natural mask made from fruit and other happy ingredients, try that. (Also can be found at Lush, or if you're creative you can make your own).
Make sure you wash your makeup off EVERY NIGHT.

I second steaming! I wish I could steam my face all day long sometimes...

Have you ever tried an egg white mask? It tightens everything up and it is easy to make--http://www.ehow.com/how_4739271_egg-white-face-mask.html

get a facial from a professional. best thing i've ever done for my [problematic] skin. not only was the treatment AMAZING and only cost about $120 after tip, she introduced me to this amazing glycolic peel and some new face wash and lotion. definitely brightened my skin, and my breakouts were dramatically reduced.

Dunno if anyone who told you to steam mentioned it... BUT. For the first week or so, steaming MIGHT actually make your skin worse... since it tends to bring to the surface some of your buried, nasty shit.
After, that though... it's pretty neat.

My daily ritual goes something like... wash my face with an exfoliating scrub AND a brush/glove for exfoliating.
then I steam for 15 minutes...
then I do my home-made pore strips... and pluck/trim eye brows, ect while I wait.
Wash that off with water and then I use a home-made mask... something like Contessa was saying. Fruit and other happy ingredients... it varies based off what my skin needs that day.
Rinse that off... use toner and apply sunblock... and then moisturizer.

From time to time I do get 'texture' issues (this has ONLY been a problem since I moved to LA, so I assume it's related to the pollution)... but it's nothing that a facial a few times a year can't handle.

Fairly straight forward... but even assholes like my brother who doesn't like to look at women without makeup (which is fine, because he's gay) makes comments about how good my skin is and how I don't really need makeup.

Looking into starting glycolic peel at home and picking up some Retin A... will be sure and mention how that effects things.

^So one can steam every day? For some reason I thought I could only do it a few times a week--but now.....

^Yeah... I think it depends on your skin type. Sometimes it'll make mine a little irritated if I've recently done a more extreme procedure, or exfoliated more than once in a day (which I DO occasionally do when I've been working in the garage and I HAVE to scrub to get the film of clearcoat from the air off my face)...
But when I went to the gym... I figured, I sat in the steam room 5 days a week with no problems... so why would steam on just my face hurt? SO far as I know... I have experienced no negative effects.

^you might try an oil like coconut oil or olive oil to get the grime off instead of scrubbing it off. Then you can use a hot rag, or just wash the oil off.

Oh no... it's not grime. When I say clear coat I mean, like, clear coat from painting cars... it's not something that you can wipe off with oil... you have to SCRAPE or peel it off.

It's worse if you get it in your hair.

I use my st. ives apricot scrub every night, then lay a warm wet wash cloth over my clean face for a few minutes…then rinse with warm water. Dry lightly. Then apply Vaseline to my whole face. Except my chin where I break out. I leave that alone. Put a towel over my pillow case, and go to sleep. When i wake up and wash my face (with scrub again) it feels SOOOOOO AMAZINGLY SOFT and FRESH.
I thought EW THATS GROSS the first time I heard about this, but i tried it for the first time a week ago and OMG. I don't do it every night…but every other night or two. My face is so vibrant and glowy.

I use St. Ives apricot scrub too, around four times a week just put it on in the shower-scrub gently for about a minute and let the warm water wash it away.

I use oil of Olay moisturizer after every shower and in the morning before going out because it has spf.

Taking vitamins every day is another good way to refresh your skin.

I use the cheap spring valley kind from walmart called hair skin and nails. LOVE IT! The apricot scrub is also really good for rough spots on ur elbows and little chicken bumps i get on my thighs and upper arms.

I use an exfoliator about twice a week, a peel about once a month, a facial mask once a week or every other week, moisterizer once a day, and a toner once or twice a day. I'm going to start going to start paying for professional facials; I hear they're worth it if you get them about once a month.

I scrub my face with sugar. I don't wash it other than taking off my makeup with baby wipes. I have perfect skin and it is so silky and soft. It doesn't cost anything more than however much sugar is and is really easy if you're on the go (go to a coffee shop and grab some packets!)

^secod that, if i want to exfoliate i do it wit lemon juice and sugar, sugar acts just as physical abrasive and lemon juice contains weak acid (prob. mostly citric acid which dissolves the excess dead cells) AFAIK it's the same as the so called "AHA acids" that cosmetic companies advertise they just gave them that fancy name to rip you off of your money...

after lemon juice i get a really pulling sensation as if my skin has become tighter around my face

my top skin care product to try is retin-a / tretinoin afaik it's the only substance proven to actually increase collagen but i want it more for the pore shrinking properties that i've heard people on youtube raving about
