Whats the most common size? What is used at strip clubs? I haven't measured the poles at my club but I think they're 50mm, and the x-pole I had was 50mm also. Just want to make sure I get the right size.

This depends on where you are, but generally around the United States the 2" (50mm) is the standard size. Some regions tend to use the 1.5", but most are 2". However, medically speaking the 1.5" are safer & tend to cause less bruising.
Don't you ever sleep?
Not at night...that's when the stars have rather better things to do. They're coming out, shining, that sort of thing.

All the clubs I've worked at have the 50mm poles or bigger ones. Actually one club had the 45mm on the VIP stage and they felt sooo different. Even then though they're only a little bit smaller, they felt really flimsy.
50 mm are standard almost everywhere. the difference is in what you want to use the pole for, if it's for personal use, a lot of people prefer 45mm for learning spins, but 50mm is easier on your legs for inverts and holds. If you want to practice moves for work though, I think a 50mm would be best since that's what most clubs have.

50mm is the standard, and if you have muscular legs (like me), 50mm provides a better grip.
