Default SM HD Encoder will it work with a slower connection?

    Hi,

My internet connection is shit - really slow (claims it's up to 24MBS but i'm getting nowhere near that).

I tested my upload speed to see if i can run the SM HD encoder but i only got a speed of 0.56 whereas it says i need a minimum of 0.60.

Do you think it will still run if i install it? My webcam is good enough it's just the bloody upload speed.

I have asked SM this question but just wondered what people here thought.

Before i changed my internet provider i had a really shitty upload speed (its still not great now but its better) i was getting around 0.4-0.5 upload speed and i used the SM encoder but it used to make my screen freeze all the time and lag badly. I put up with it for a while, but my earnings took a hit thats for sure - in the end i had to pay to buy myself out of my broadband contract early so i could switch providers - pricey but definitely worth it. Now i get around 0.8 upload and i've had no problems
