    Default No pole on stage...?

I've always worked in clubs with a pole on stage...until now. The prospect of dancing pole-less freaks me out. What the hell do you ladies do on stage when there is no pole and floorwork is prohibited?

Lots of posing and floorwork (think sexified yoga moves). Move v e r y s l o w l y in everything you do and run your hands over whatever part of your body your moves are showing off. Eye contact and coy smiles will also do wonders.

No pole on our stage either.. We are allowed to do floorwork though. There was a time when we couldn't. I'd do alot of pulling my hair up in a pile on my head and run my hands down my body, bending over and running my hands up my legs to my ass then slap my ass. Booty rolls, booty shakes, stand with my back to the crowd, spread my feet apart, lift my hair up off my back and lean my head back and let it fall back down. Just sexy poses. There's actually alot you can do but it isn't risque and naughty like floor and polework can be. Having no pole and no floorwork makes the stage dancing alot more sensual (and IMO boring..)

Start off by swaying your body slowly side by side, picking up your hair, playing with it... from there you'll get the hang of it.

I know the feeling. That's exactly how I felt when I started working in a no pole/floor work stage.

OP, it sounds like you just started working at a very upscale club. Watch videos on burlesque on YouTube. You'll probably want to "up" your costumes to have more pieces so you can do more striptease, & add other props like gloves, small fan, etc. Shows in clubs like this are all about small movements, posing, & flirting.

Actually, I wish more clubs like this existed... if would do ssome entertainers good to be forced to actually focus on the dancing & striptease.
    Don't you ever sleep?
Not at night...that's when the stars have rather better things to do. They're coming out, shining, that sort of thing.
