    Travel What the Motive?

There's this guy who wants to be with me, open a joint-bank account (I have nothing... he has a little bit more than 80 k), and wants to pay for my college?

Obviously... we're in a relationship, and obviously being in a relationship means we're in bed. He's a law student too, so he knows what he is doing I guess.

But seriously besides that, what is his motive in doing this for someone he met 6 days ago? I'm flying over to him tomorrow.

I have no idea what this joint-bank account all means, but I don't really care either, going to do my research.

    Something tax related?

Yeah that's what I thought... but why would he want this? Most guys don't do that with strangers... but I did get men propose to me in one week... but still it makes no sense. I already said I was going to go before he offer the bank thing.

Too good to be true, or he's stupid.

Joint bank account = he goes into debt, you go with him.

Plus lots of other other potential nonsense.

    Think carefully before jumping in.

I'm always cautious of people who move into decisions before you know their character. It's like they want to trick you into engaging yourself with them before you see the monster they really are.

This! Once he has you on a shared account you'll be tied to his credit. If he goes down ALL of his debt collectors will be calling you... I had that happen years ago & thats how I ended up dancing - to pay off thousands of dollars of his debt! I got NOTHING from it. Don't do this! I took the guy to court, won the case, & never saw a penny. People like this are con artists... they know they can live nicely & not worry about the debt.
    Don't you ever sleep?
Not at night...that's when the stars have rather better things to do. They're coming out, shining, that sort of thing.

^^^ agreed that a joint bank account carries FAR more potential negatives than positives ( unless the two parties are already legally linked via marriage )

Years ago I opened a joint bank account with a then boyfriend, or so I thought. Long story short, he drained me of my savings and ran up my bills. Never again will I do this unless it's a husband and even then it's questionable.

    Oh. my. God.

Dear sweet Vatasha, reading your posts is like sawing off my own arm with a rusty butter knife. And then for other members on this board to come in and reply to you in a serious manner when you write such ridiculous, obviously false, stupidity (in EVERY post without fail) *sigh* it just baffles me. You are some type of loser. You got booted from the devil worshiping site, the philosophy site didn't give you the time of day, and you still come here to try and get a rise out of people since this forum is giving you an audience. You must be just tickled at how meaningful your real life has become. Your real life is about as promising as the imaginary one you write about on here.

uh, being "in bed" with this dude doesn't count, vatasha, since for you being "in bed" means doing it virtually online. hmmm mebbe one day if ur lucky enough and pay him $1000s of dollars, he might let u come over to lay next to him 3 feet away in the same bed...but actually be "in bed" meaning intercourse? u got some lofty hopes
