I have done some free nude events and let me tell you I felt disgusted afterwards. No, not because I was nude but because they were making money off me while I got nothing in return except a few modeling contracts. I also got scammed by a "photographer" who insisted on nude samples and I being naive at the time did them. Then there were the times when I worked at club with a bunch of cheapos who weren't tipping and I was still expected to strip for them. There is nothing wrong with nudity but when it comes to others making money off another like this it's repulsive.

This is not to say I didn't enjoy stripping. I did, especially the shows where I danced and didn't strip. However, I would do the dancing at home if I knew I wouldn't get paid. I once worked with someone who didn't care if she got paid because she thought of it as "exercise". Sure, it's that, but why not exercise at home or at a gym instead of stripping?

What would I possibly gain from it? Particularly when I barely have enough time to hang with my friends as it is? It's not even some sort of stuck-up I'm-hotter-than-you thing, but I think most dancers are prolly really different than most of the men who come into SC's. Hell, I don't even have kids and I've never been married and don't have a college degree or even a fuckin drivers license and I have wacky political beliefs, haha. If these guys really knew me OTC theyd see we have nothing in common. Oh well, I guess it's part of the fantasy *shrug*
I've known quite a few of these men and why they feel this way I never understood. I think part of it is from this idea that men think if they spend money they can get anyone, and the wealthier one is the more they express this idea. It's not just rich men, I've seen this idea with middle class and even poor men. It's not limited to clubs either, I've had guys think if they spend money we can be friends or more. Out of all the guys I met while dancing only one became an actual friend. He was only 3 1/2 years older from a similar background as me, and he wasn't one of my big spenders either. We had a lot in common including interests, morals, and other things. Sadly this relationship ended in tragedy because I fell in love and he got scared and disappeared. The other guys I met I knew would never be anything more than regulars because we had nothing else in common. They were usually much older, widowed, divorced or in unhappy marriages (a few were in happy marriages but they weren't usually my biggest regulars). Most of them had kids my age or older and most were sucessful in businesses. What would we have in common outside the club?

Ok, now your in the wrong group or you need to start a new thread for this question. Camming & stripping are two very different beasts -so you can't really ask that. And as for your question -you have gotten many answers to it & they are for the most part very similar. Now any further really lets just say ", If you don't like the answer then don't ask the question". Sorry.

I think I know what you girls are saying. I've been playing the violin for the last 12 years and have some talent at it and have a passion for it and enjoy it and can imagine playing for the rest of my life, but ain't no way I'm gonna perform in some place for free just because I like doing it.

for the most part I am not stripping any more .. i love to be naked and be in the center of what is going on .. if i am going to strip and not get paid then no one is going to make money from me stripping .. . i can't say i don't flash when i am out but when were and how are up to me and not some side show perverted thing..

    The money aside.
honey the money is always the reason we start dancing ....

Does taking your clothes in front of strangers just give you a great sense of freedom and liberation from the constraints of life and you find it kind of fun?

lol ... OK yes .... no... maybe... and sometimes def. no ... sometimes def. yes... maybe....

I mean if you weren't getting paid for it would you do it just for kicks? (On your own terms of course.)
i have but like i said if i don't make money from stripping no one is going to make money from me stripping...

Drawing and painting used to be the most fun thing in the world for me--until I made the mistake of trying to do it for a living.

Many years followed, years of having people expect me to draw pictures for dirt pay--or even free--because I was an artist and was supposed to enjoy doing it! People in business, who would have been outraged if I asked them to work for free, or for far less than the minimum wage.

Like a damned fool I out my heart into it, worked for less than minimum wage (when hours added up), would do the best I could for some of these people, thinking they would tell their friends in business how good a job I had done maybe. Instead they told their friends how cheap they could get me to do drawings!

Killed all desire to draw and paint. I am trying to rekindle it now, but it's an uphill battle.

Many years ago, a movie came out called "The Color of Money."

I'll skip the story, since it's not important to this post, but it's very good, IMHO.

Anyway, in the film, one character says to another:

"Look, Vinnie, you watch a movie and you see two people kissing. Whaddya think--they went home together or somethin'? Of course not! They're professionals!"

    Dancers are professional entertainers.

(Of course it looks like they're having a wonderful time--that's why it's entertaining!)

I have a strange sense of sexuality so in the beginning, I actually found it ridiculous to be paid to see my boobs, and really funny. I also like easy money, so while it wasn't fun because of OOH OMG I AM SO NEKKID N SEXXY, it was fun in the HAHA SUCKERSSSSSS way. After 2007 though, when the contact started getting crazy I began to loathe it, and only did it because I felt stuck.

Now that I'm retired, I couldn't ever go back. Dancing now is HARD FUCKING WORK. A lot of people don't realize that. Ten years ago it was a walk in the park, but these girls nowadays bust their asses for every dollar they get; emotionally and physically. Instead of wondering if it "gets them off", tip them and give them a standing ovation because their job is way harder than yours- regardless of what yours is.

Me 2! I have my bachelors in Fine Arts. Art school & working w/ flaky, cheap clients killed alot of my passion for my craft. Now I try to keep my art for myself or as gifts & I use stripping & modeling as my profession instead. This works alot better for me.

As an artist, personally I believe we are such sensitive creatures to things. Or maybe I'm just stroking my own ego too much. Lol

I am very sorry to hear that they took such advantage of you. If its any consolation (still probably not, most artist are very strapped for cash). That is very discouraging. Most art modeling is not like that.

That wasn't art modeling, it was a scum with a photographer named "Doug Young". He's probably still scamming women. I've had good luck with artists.

+1 on dancing being VERY hard work. It's actually why I barely do it anymore even though in general, once I get to where I'm going and everything , I like it. It's crazy hours. It's a lot of WAITING . The waiting is what I will ALWAYS remember hating about dancing along with my good memories . You get to the club and pay ..... then you wait sometimes . Sometimes you'll start earning right away and something you fucking WAIT. I'm not sure how to articulate it . One one hand, being impatient is what made me a good dancer ( I was never one of those girls going " oh ... I talk too long .... whatdoIdo ? " ). On the other hand ..... it was a difficult fit.

That said ... I'm human .. so yeah.... there have been times I've genuintely been turned on in the club ..... but we are talking like 10 minutes here or there within DAYS of being at the club! It probably it just being human, not dancing !

No, and in fact, not getting paid or tipped makes me rather irate anymore. I don't enjoy getting naked for little or no money for men I'd rather not ever associated with.

The only way I would dance for a man just "for kicks" alone, is if I were attracted to him -lAND- no one else I was not attracted to was in the room.

And Ive answered this question a bazillion times on here, but I have been "turned on" during a dance MAYBE 5 times. In 7 years.

Thumbs down Re: Does stripping get you off? Is it fun?

I am not a mean person at heart. But the title of this post grosses me out. So in retort, does being a retard get you off? Do you enjoy asking dumb ass questions?

That aside, I've never felt turned on during a dance. But is it fun? Fuck yeah it's fun. I love dancing and I started dancing long before I started dancing in a club. I love having people throw countless, flying dollars bills at me, while I spin and fly above them. I love to pick someone out in the room (or think of someone...you know who you are...) and pretend I'm dancing only for him or her.

But free? Would I put up with having to ask five million questions and hear the long-winded, impossibly, infinitesimally long-winded (and possibly smelly, creepy, who knows) answers to them (maybe to people like you, but I'm guessing from this question you actually don't know any dancers) if I didn't think there might be money there? You surely jest.

Would put my heart and soul into beating myself up like this nightly on a stage, often not even having time/money for medical treatment?

I don't think so. I'd rather dance in the safety of my own home/studio.

Of course camming is for the money and it definantly doesn't turn me on. Actually, if anything, it grosses me out, especially when the guy turns on his cam. Most of these guys look like they're probably unemployed and living in their mothers basement. I'm not trying to be mean, but do you really think we are doing this because it turns us on? I would never cam for free. In fact, I wouldn't even talk to the guys I meet on cam for free. You have to look like you're enjoying yourself or you don't make money. We have to make the guys think we're genuinely interested in them (which is the hard part, because they're usually losers and creepy), but all we really care about is their wallets.

After I get off cam, my boyfriend and I make fun of some of the guys. It's pretty funny.

if strippers made 7 bucks an hour I would have never even THOUGHT about it. I used to be SO shy. I didn't even like being naked around my parents as a toddler.

I prefer having clothes on, but unfortunately there aren't any lucrative go-go dancing gigs around here so I strip

The girls on MFC are selling just like strippers. They are doing it for the money as well, and they are acting like they're having a really great time to make idiots like you spend money on them. Otherwise they'd be sitting on yahoo where they can't get PAID. duh

I've always loved what I do but I'm not doing it for nothing. I'm a chronic tease and a bit of an exhibitionist, but again, I don't need to get naked for kicks. I can get my kicks without getting naked for a bunch of strangers. Stripping is hella fun but NO ONE would do it without the money.

I used to be pretty good friends with an escort down in South Jersey. She also did web camming and we used to get together on cam between live appointments. One time we were chatting away and starting to get to the down and dirty part when all of a sudden her dog walked into the shot. We both started laughing our asses off! She explained to me that the dog didn't realize that she was "working" because, since we are friends, she wasn't using her "Mistress so-and-so" web cam voice. She explained that her pets could tell the difference and had been trained to leave her alone when she was "working". They could tell by the voice that she used.

What's the point? It's all an act dude. It doesn't matter what a girl may like or dislike in her personal life, how comfortable she is naked or how much she enjoys sex. Women in the adult industry do it for the money. If there was no money in it there wouldn't be any strippers, escorts, porn stars or cam girls...

There was one party at the ATF's house where I foot the bill for the alcohol, but that's as far as the money thing went. The group was composed of her friends and customers alike. At one point when she got loaded enough, she just decided to start dancing to the music on, dropped her top and started dancing for all males present. I was a regular customer still and outside buddy. She put on quite a show for nothing including an LD while I was standing there and legs wrapped around my waist, humping away... At the time I just think she liked the whole thing. Would she do it for total strangers for nothing, probably not.

    Sad
Blonde jokes are two lines long so that men can understand them.

Obviously Im not a Lap DANCER ..... But I would not do my job / run my business for nothing ..even though sometimes it does provide incredible excitement ..as in Heart Rate transactions that are exciting .

For me , I wouldn't want you girls doing it for nothing ..I dont do my job for nothing . Id like to think that most of the time you enjoy ... I have some great stripper friends , I love hearing the stories ..But at the same time I observe and can see most of the pro's and cons ..

I will often " Recruit " a few clients for a special dance , from a particular dancer I know very well ....Always both parties , will Thank me incredibly and they come and ask me to give them a little more " Selection help "

All in All however ..Dancing is dam hard work ..the money can be great ..and it should be , but this doesn't ALWAYS happen . I really admire the dancers who has managed to put together a great gig , generally I find these girls have a pretty solid enjoyment when it comes to the job .

Enjoy ... and Progress , Its all in the name of personal enjoyment

Report back here and let us know how liberated you felt...
I wish there was a love button.
I'm here to make money. NOT make friends, if I make a friend then it's a bonus.

I'd rather be absolutely ridiculous that absolutely boring
