Choose something that makes you feel hot or mysterious or enchanting OR whatever makes you happy... Sorry that's not a definitive answer, but I think it's a really personal decision... Look at baby names...I don't know...check out club websites to find names you connect with... ( just thinking out loud...)

Just don't use adjectives, foods, or insects.

Pretty good rule that works 90% of the time

Can't say the same for plants, (rose, iris. etc) cause flower names are common.

Try nameberry and search for unusual names, that's where I found my new one!

here are the ones I am considering, so I thought I would pass these on to you:
    delilah
    ophelia
vittoria (foreign exchange student from Italy in high school)
    jolene
    dahlia
    harlow
    rita
    lucy
    giglia (said gee-lee-uh)
    sophia
    scarlet
    betty
    amelia
    holly
    bridgette
    satine (said sa-teen)
    gigi
    mimi

these are all names I put into a memo in my Blackberry's memo pad so that when it comes time to decide a stage name, if my preferred stage name isn't available, then I will have a slew of different names to choose from. My suggestion to you is to gather up a list of names that you like and think that you could pull off with the look you're going to work. (for example, I work a retro 40s pinup girl look, so retro names like "Betty" and "Delilah" and "Lucy" would all look right) You don't want to be an alternative girl with some odd name like "Delicious" or "Juicy" (I have heard both), something that suits your look that doesn't sound TOO stripperish is something that makes you look a bit classier, in my humble opinion. Some girls love having a stripperish name like Delicious or Juicy...because that suits their look and personality. Just think about it. If you are a certain ethnicity, like say french or have ancestors from Spain or Italian or say asian, I'd go search baby names from that country. (search "french baby names" and pages upon pages will come up in Google).

I would make a list and store it under the "notes" or "memo pad" section of your phone. If your phone is a windows phone, store it under a word document. That way, when it comes down to picking a name at the club you get hired at, you have a whole list to choose from. Makes life a whole heck of a lot easier!

    good luck

Im my experience, normal, but not common names work the best. you should also try and fit it with your look and personality. i have danced by 2 different names here in my town. when i first started dancing i went by valerie and did well as valerie until i got preggers and retired. you dont hear it alot, but it also was easier to pull off as a 'real name'. and when i went to new orleans i tried khloe. khloe didnt really fit, so the next time i went i changed back to valerie. since i started back and its been a couple of years, i am now fionna. again, a real name you dont hear alot. o and this time i have a theme song, 'scotty doesnt know' lol. seems to help people remember me. and its not very hard to make people believe its my name. its an irish name, and i have alot of irish in me. i also can tell a person what my name means and that helps them believe. a few other good names i remember (and these were very talented, experienced dancers): vivian, mindy, nina, alanis, tori(and she told people victoria was her real name), belladonna(she said her real name was donna), alley( she said her real name was allison), samantha, scarlett, anna mary, macy, daphne, and celeste.

    Duh Re: Stripper Names

and think hard before u consider using city names or just words. i worked with this older woman named 'bama' as in alabama, and she had a thick northern accent. there is a girl i work with now who calls herself sookie. some of the other girls 'claim' they saw her giving head in the cr, so now people call her suckie, and even some customers. dont call name yourself 'unique' if u dress, dance, and carry yourslef like most of the girls in your club. and dont name yourself 'mystery' if you are a typical blonde girl next door type.

I don't even know how anyone (especially a drunk customer / angry dj) would pronounce Adelita. Keep in mind that drunk customers are who you are going to be introducing yourself to and having to correct them or agreeing to an incorrect name are both pretty annoying. Keep it simple, short and easy.

Just keep it simple, short and sweet. Realistic, recognizable names are the very best. You're not writing a Sci-Fi novel. So avoid names with too many obscure syllables.

I agree with the real names. Real hot names. Kristen, Cassi, Lashawnduh, Amber, Brooke..make it believable so you don't have to come up with a fake real name. They will always ask what your real name is if you use something insane.

There is a super hot dancer at the club i wanna work at and her name is Honey. There is also a Summer, who looks all of 18 years old, super tiny and looks like she should be hanging at the mall with her friends.

Super simple names are boring imo. Currently I'm in love with the name Angel, since I am constantly told how adorable/sweet/warm what have you. Hmm maybe the name Sweetheart.
