YESS! that has happened to me quite a few times! I took pictures and asked my guy about it but I have yet to hear back about what the deal is. I've had guys buy into a $5 GS and it will say $5.01 and that I will receive $1.50. Or someone tipping in $15.38. Seems strange to me.

Speaking of those pop-ups on other sites, a SM member just told a model "I was asked if I wanted to fuck you. It said you live near me, if so. I do, and the question is when and where?"

That's so creepy.
Wow! just shows how much the site doesn't care about our safety. I'd hate to see how many scams like that they're pulling with our image.

I believe she wasn't using geoblocking and SM actually got low enough to advertise models by location. Models who geoblock automatically aren't used in advertising. In which case, I shall continue to geoblock the shit out of most of the states in my timezone. I hate to read about surprises like this, if that poor model is on here, she has my condolences.

I nominate $0 gold shows as a "Most Idiotic Business Idea of 2014" ...
What gets me wanting to stab someone in the eyes, is when I see guys that wouldn't put 1$ in to a gold show, will now drop 20, 50 or even more in a 0 show, so they can look like big cock for a bunch of freeloading wankers! Why couldn't they drop those amounts in shows that did have a minimum buy in?
How juvenile. It's as if they're saying "you can't tell me I have to pay for pussy" and then when there's the option of seeing the show for free they'll put in a good amount.
Once the novelty fades away, it will backfire on the ones that are using it for the majority of their shows.

They aren't advertising models by their real locations. They use IPs of porn watchers on porn sites to figure out the porn watchers location, then tell them that a bunch of girls in their area are waiting to fuck. These pop ups aren't new and it doesn't use the models real locations.

@Sammii, exactly. Everyone asks me if i live in St. Louis, NY, or FLORIDA lmao (nope)![]()
I am with you! I haven't figured out what the benefit is for the model.

So about the random bells in exclusive...
I got them again tonight, and they weren't because the guy was on an iPod/iPad, I checked. They started right after I turned my phone option on, though.
The first guy had been bugging me about exclusive and phone for a while, but kept missing me. As soon as he got in, I started hearing the dinging. He confirmed that he wasn't on an iPod/Pad and said something else, and then suddenly disappeared. The same thing happened with the next guy, except that I got kicked off. SO FRUSTRATING!

This. I think you really hit the nail on the head. So on that note, here's a vulgar Discovery Channel joke about male psychology (this is not intended to be insulting to any models or their hustle, or to imply that anyone's a hooker; it's just to reflect the way some guys see/say things).
The Joke: Two guys walk into a bar called Streamate. They see three sexy ladies sitting inside.
The guys look over at the first lady, and realize that she's a fairly expensive call girl. The first guy says, "I'm not into paying for sex." His friend says, "I would love to hit that, but I'm not even going to offer her a drink. It would be like test driving a Ferrari that I can't buy."
They look over at the second lady, and realize that she's a relatively inexpensive hooker. The first guy says, "I'm not into paying for sex." The second guys says, "I'd love to get my rocks off with that, but anyone can fuck her if he's got some pocket change. Where's the fun in that?"
They look at the third lady, who seems to be "non-professional" and horny. The first guy says, "If she's not charging, I'm totally into that." The second guys says, "Yeah, I'd fuck her, too." The Discovery Channel walks over to the guys and says,"Do you know which lion gets to fuck the lioness in heat? Whichever one can prove that he's better that all the other lions." Both guys race to see who can spend the most on overpriced drinks for the third lady.
The Punchline: You and me, bb, ain't nothin' but mammals...
Punchline #2: The other two ladies were clever, and took home cold, hard cash from all the more level-headed guys that prefer to know upfront how much they are going to spend on pussy.![]()

@Magical_Hooha those girls have tapped into the male psyche...for now. It's an opportunity to make money and I suppose they're gonna work it until the wheels fall off? I think it's less competition for those sort of shows on SM and that is why it "appears" to be successful. Some say go to MFC or even CB, but over there they would have more competition.

Hi everyone,
I haven't been camming on streamate since I signed up, since my internet was shitty and I was always on 7-8th pages. But now I have better internet and I started to split cam with it, with AW. My computer can't handle adobe encoder and JCI together, so I stream from the browser. Both because of that, and because I haven't cam for almost a year, I'm always in 4th page. My paid percentage is 6% for 10 hours of online time now.
Do you know if it will get better when i cam regularly? I really don't make anyhing from streamate now, but it doesn't hurt to split cam when I'm on AW.
My room is empty most of the time, I don't even have beggars. And since I'm not popular, I'm afraid to raise my rates, it's not logical. They are 2.99/3.99 now, I know it's really low, do you think some sort of reverse strategy would work, raising your rates when you are not popular at all?
Thank you for your answers.

Hi Scarlet,
It was the same to me when I started on SM.. Nobody in my room and it was so boring I almost gived it up. It took about a month to get regulars and get better traffic. My advice is: go online as much as you can and don't give up even if its slow, try to be online atleast a few hours. It worked for me that I tryed to go online at different times during the day and night. Sometimes it still happens that nobody is talking to me or pledge my shows but believe me it's still better then annoying beggars and trolls who only try to get free stuff.

P.S.: I have the same problem with AW.. but there I couldn't get any regulars and don't know what should I do to get some paying traffic... I'm not really into making my own marketing or advertising((maybe I should have posted this to the AW thread))

I started with 2.99/3.99 too on SM then I raised it to 3.99/4.99
