Your cammodels link can not be promoted in your own room on Streamate! That is only for promoting outside the site, so there is no need to give guys on SM your Skype and risk being banned. As far as Twitter there are some great threads here about getting followers and promoting your cammodels link. Twitter is the best tool for getting signups it seems. Don't risk your account by trying to promote in your room. Just get the same name as your screenname and fans will google you.
Since you love domination put lots of domme stuff in your profile along with keywords they might search for like joi and sph and how you love dressing up sissies. You have to let them know they are welcome so they can find you.
$15 an hour average isn't too horrible really. I realize its hard to do this job for 8 hours but I'd say work as many hours as you can (and maybe work from your boyfriend's place some if it helps you work longer - I'm assuming this is a different guy from the one who wanted you to quit). Consider raising your rate some (subs will often pay more if you can build that clientele up).
Greeting every guy and dancing around doesn't really give a domme vibe. It can actually chase guys away when you greet them immediately like that. Try being more low key and sensual and maybe study a few dommes in their free chat and mimic their attitude.
If that doesn't improve things then go the other direction and try a different more vanilla persona and see if that fits. You have to experiment a bit sometimes (which can be fun actually). Best wishes! Honestly I think you're off to a good start and things can only get better from there.
It takes Support time to get back. For me its usually around 1 or 2 days at the most. I wrote SM about ratings yesterday as well. A customer rated me a 1 because he didn't read my profile or room topic about what I do and don't do in my shows. I haven't heard back from them yet. Be patient bb.

For future reference, please don't write Liz or Vanessa if you need to have bad ratings removed. They are very busy with a million other things going on. You can simply contact support from your account and provide them with an explanation why you'd like it removes. It may take 1-2 days but they will remove it.

Thanks a bunch, love! I have all that in my profile. I'm a switch, I like doing both things, but I just don't get submissive guys yet. I'll try not to greet that often and I will watch more dommes for sure.
The thing is that my screen name is kind of a popular one, so I'm not sure they would find me but I'm gonna look for the threads about exploiting my cammodel link and the twitter.
And yes... It's the same guy, we split up, i started camming again and then we came back. It's my business, but I guess I'll eventually tell him. I'm just worried about my financial situation right now. He's improving things so, we'll see.
But thank you again!

I don't plan to cam on there full time again. I don't want to lose the account, I want to work on there part time. I took time off because I was stressing over all the changes and glitches. Gold shows threw me for a loop to be honest. I just plan to not do them because I suck at them. Being away did allow me to find a couple of cam sites that I really enjoy working on and plan to continue on.

I didn't know they deleted inactive accounts on SM. I think I got incredibly lucky, because I swear I wasn't on for a good 5 months and I was able to log in just fine. >>

^^Perhaps an email to customer service every so often is all that is required if you're planning on taking a long break.

*shrugs* Maybe. But I didn't send an email or anything... *not complaining lol*

In addition to this, I kind of feel like if we email to have every single bad rating removed, they will quit giving us that privilege. One 1 star out of tons of ratings shouldn't hurt you to the point of hurting your placement or anything - if anything it hurts our pride lol that's about it, unless you are getting several bad ratings regularly, and if they didn't leave an actual profile comment no one can see it but you.
Everyone should expect a bad rating here and there from butt hurt assholes.
I can see how if you only do gold shows, it might be a concern because at that point you never get any ratings. And ratings drop off after 90 days. So if you never get any ratings, you're eventually going to fall back to the "default" 4 stars anyway.

This is exactly what I did the last time I changed my rates. I bumped my Private rate up to my usual Exclusive rate, and bumped Exclusive up a dollar.
I realized that I wasn't really making anything in private at my usual rates, although I was spending a LOT of time there. It was just being drawn out by multiple peepers. So far, my average is about the same as it was before BUT I'm not wearing myself out by hammering away in private for next to nothing.
This is not meant as a criticism of your opinion in anyway.....but in my own opinion....the ability to have bad ratings removed isn't exactly what one would call a privilege. Most companies that use rating systems do have a fail-safe in the system to allow for bad ratings to be removed or handled so SM doing that for us isn't a privilege really.
But if you are saying that if girls whine about bad ratings too much that Streamate will turn its famous deaf ear to all camgirls to 'teach them a lesson' then I can totally agree with that. LOL!

The deactivation thing is a new occurrence. And going forward it's after zero activity in a three month period. Recently I think they did a massive clean up of all the "dead" accounts. Some accounts have been re-activated after a an email to support. But I know of two whom were deleted completely. Or at least that's the response they got from the person on email duty that particular day.

I think what laurielegs is saying is that increasing your prices is sometimes a good deterrent for the cheap-asses. We've said so many times on here that cheap rates often attract the cheap-ass, bottom-of-the-barrel, rude members...while the classier, more respectful men are often willing to pay the higher rates without bitching about it. You can tell who the cheap-asses are. They're the ones who go jumping from room to room bitching at models "4.99 per minute?! Are you fucking insane?!," and they're the ones who always say "You gonna do a Gold show, bb? Tits out halfway?" LOL.

Hope this is the right place for this... if not, I apologize!
I was on Streamate for the first time tonight, and sat for an hour without any privates or exclusives. Is this normal? Six people did add me to their favorites list, though obviously that doesn't pay the bills.
Could it be that I'm charging too much for a beginner? After reading through this thread, I set the rates at 2.89 premium and 3.89 exclusive. I've run though "the checklist": I had low music, good light, and was talkative and chatty and smiling. I also had a good set of toys. I'm also North American and at least reasonably attractive, if that matters. Any suggestions, or should I just try again later?

try again later, its a hit and miss

I make a group effort to push buttons .. during the gold shows "Im the high tipper babe" I will turn and ALWAYS a customer is in there that knows the drill "give it to him babe" and rip them a new asshole over 5 bucks
WHO THE HELL IS TELLING THESE GUYS 5, 10, 15 IS A HIGH TIP! STOP! ITS NOT A HIGH TIP UNLESS IT CHIMES!end of manic moment on forum
