It's been months since I actually cammed. I'm wondering if it's slow tonight. Oh well, no way to know, than just getting on. *Slumps to the bathroom to get her makeup on. Wish me luck! Man I don't know why but I'm nervous.

That happened to me on Firefox before. I think it had to do with one of my add-ons... like a pop-up blocker. I always use chrome though

S'okay--SM has been glitchy for me tonight too. Kicked a regular client out mid-session for no reason. He logged back in right away, but we were both like 'what the fuck?'

I haven't banned a single member yet and don't get any shit in my room - or at least anything which bothers me. If someone is a little annoying I just change my focus to another site that I'm splitting with.
One guy got angry and was thinking I'm not live (using video)... because he wasn't getting enough attention and I wouldn't respond to him.

Classic Muphry's law: "If you write anything criticising editing or proofreading, there will be a fault of some kind in what you have written."
...apart from being bad netiquette.

The more you ban, the more trouble you'll invite. They get upset and make it their job to come back again and they come back nastier each time.
Nothing cuts off troublemakers more than being totally ignored - an lol with a smile works even better. They expect you to ban them, so why not give them what they don't expect? You ignore them once or twice and you'll never see them again. Trolls feed on attention - don't give them what they want. You can bet your bottom dollar that the nasty ones have a host of IP's they can use to come back and haunt you again.
You can make money from the really nasty ones as good customers rescue you to private.

Tropo when you ban a member in SM is his account the one that gets banned from your room, if they want to come back to your room they will need to do it using a new account with a different credit card. It doesn't matter if they get a new IP.
I would hate for newbies reading this to think they have to put up with abusive assholes to make money on SM. I ignore freeloaders or people being dense, but if a guy is being nasty to you get him out of your room. If he is filling your room with negative comments that will fuck up your mojo and your money. Trolls want a voice, banning takes their voice away.

I've tried using the kick option vs the ban recently. I've had guys come back with money because I told them to. It would have been more difficult for him to come back if I had banned them. But yeah if they go beyond your level of tolerance then ban them and move on. Kinda like on forums when a person becomes a nuisance you can put them on your "Ignore List". Give it a try.

^^
All I can say, from my limited experience on SM, after working for only 2 months, I don't have anyone banned and DON'T have any abuse in my room...
Regarding other sites I've worked on over the years - yes, I believed I had to put with abuse because there was no way to stop it. Kicking and banning was only a temporary relief and they would came back nastier than ever. I discovered that ignoring it was the best option by far, and still do.
This would obviously depend on site policies and procedures, and if SM makes it very difficult to come back after being banned, then great, you ladies who continually kick and ban are safe. I'll just continue ignoring them - but so far there hasn't been anything to ignore. The only problem I get from customers is that some get a bit upset they're not getting enough attention because I'm always focused on multiple sites... but I can't blame them for that. Yesterday one guy threatened to report me because he thought I was using recorded video.
So please ladies, don't give me a hard time for suggesting another approach to room control. My method works very well on all the sites I use.
just a quick note and then hopefully this thread can get back on its (meandering) track...peeps who wanna spar back and forth please take it off site or to PM. It's disruptive to chicas who want to use this thread to discuss sm/sm-related issues when sniping back and forth gets in the way. beyond taking things to PM, there's always the ignore button option. I highly recommend it
(the ignore option is available in the left side panel under settings, labelled 'edit ignore list')
I give you a hella credit for using the kick instead of the ban. I tried that when I first started and all I got back was vindictive guys coming into a show and then a low rating. So now I just ban. It's sad. I wish it worked for me the way they intended it. If they didn't have the stupid rating system *cough* cough* hack* hack* hint* ( not that they'll ever take it away) then I would totally kick as a warning first.

hey girls, just a quick question. I've seen girls saying they don't do pvt unless it is for blocks. How they stop guys from taking them to a pvt? You know that? >_<

To my knowledge, there's no way to turn down a private. You can charge more for private than exclusive, but that would probably invalidate the incentive for doing a block session in private. I actually think it would make more sense if Streamate had us accept/deny privates (groups) and automatically send us into exclusive. Or had us accept/deny both. I'm not sure why SM doesn't do that.
I actually love private more than exclusive, but I charge around the same for both to be fair to my customers. Some requests are just far too specific to do in private, or if they want to talk on the phone. Most of my customers though actually prefer to all go to private together and do an interactive group show. Kind of similar to the MFC hustle. But I know majority of SM girls don't run their rooms this way and most of their custys prefer to go exclusive- especially if it costs less than private. But I know I always always always make more in private than exclusive even when charging less per minute for private because I usually have multiple guys (regulars) that all agree to go private together at the same time and then stay awhile.
If you want to offer block sessions, exclusive block sessions are probably a much easier sell because you can reject the exclusive request if its not a block session unlike private mode.
