One of my regs who I'd been emailing with via Streamate mail just messaged me back saying, "yeah SM's pretty fucked right now, your last email to me showed up completely in German".

Yeah I use the 930e which is basically the same as the 920c but Mac compatible. My colors are always off also, I hate when Im wearing dark purple and people tell me they like my blue shirt.. I'm like !!!!!
But I don't use my autofocus or zoom either, always constantly moving my cam (which also made it why a webcam lasts me about a year because the cord in the back will come loose) and then when I do closeups I use the focus via webcam settings to make the picture clear.... just out of the ordinary pixelation with the new settings prob due to the clarity of the picture, not really TOO much of an issue but still kinda annoying at times!
Im still having streaming issues so im done for now. I might try in another 2hrs or so.
im having issues too showing me in private when im not. i had an error message come up after i refreshed and tried again after streaming for 2 minutes now its showing me offline again all within an hour![]()
I think the site is tanking again, the number of models suddenly dropped to 900 and I watched a $900 gold show get disconnected 3 minutes before it was supposed to start![]()

^^ I saw that as well! So site still having issues:[
^God that was painful to watch, she has to be pulling her hair out right now

Alright, you know it's bad when SM Support actually sends out a site wide email admitting to the problems being on there end. No, seriously, check your inboxes. That happened.
Ugh.
Still gonna try to do a few long shifts today and tomorrow, but if it's crazy glitch land, I'll just take the weekend off.
Holy shit. THAT DID HAPPEN! I never thought I'd see the day...
G-spot rocks the G-spot.
I feel like its about time. I'm glad that they actually acknowledged and admitted that there's glitches. I was like holy shit is this real when I saw the message in my inbox.
I've said many times that SM should just put a message at the top of the site saying "We are currently undergoing maintenance so please bare without us if you're experiencing any problems." Tons of sites do that so I don't see why they don't especially with the amounts of glitches they have.
Tonight has been a rollercoaster of glitches, but there are lots of guys tipping $$$$ in gold shows. PROCEED WITH CAUTION though, because I had a major glitch at the end of my last show. The timer ran out, but the show didn't automatically end. Had to log off completely to get it to stop. Still got paid as usual, but I was a little nervous there for a few minutes waiting for payment to show up!
I did only pvts and exclusives and besides a few guys having trouble with the page loading, the night was fine for me

I am so annoyed with streamate support.
Here is the e-mail I sent them regarding the connection issues I was having last night
Hello,
I am experiencing major connection issues.
It's August 14th 10:30 PM CST.
I am using the HD encoder with recommended settings but I have tried the other basic settings as well.
I am using an i7 processor with 2.4 ghz
I am using Chrome to stream
My connection drops periodically (usually after about 10 minutes of being online). Sometimes it will completely disconnect and sometimes it will just drop my bit rate to below 100 kbps and normally it's at 800 or higher.
My internet speeds according to two different testing sites is 65 download speed and 12 MBPS upload speed.
I am on a wired connection.
Today, I get this email back from them
Are you using wifi when streaming? If so, please connect your internet
cable to your computer. Additionally please try a different browser such as Google Chrome or Firefox. Are you trying to stream using the HD encoder? You can try lowering your bit/frame rate to 600/12. If you're not streaming in HD, you may try lowering your quality settings? this is located in the drop down menu, located above the video on the left side of the performance page.
Also, you will want to try a speedtest: https://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/
Select Seattle as the location and give us your download/upload speeds.
If the above does not help resolve the issue please let us know and when you do please also attach a screenshots of the encoder settings, the encoder log, as well as, let us know the processor/memory specs of the computer used!
Thanks.
Streamate Performer Support
What? It's like they didn't even read my report. The majority of their response e-mail is asking me for information THAT I INCLUDED IN THE DAMN SUPPORT TICKET!!!
This should probably be in the vent thread but argh.
I think regular sm support is a bot, honestly

Oh my, that reply makes me want to smash my head against the wall. Xx
I read the whole thing through. It's like they disregarded the entire message YOU sent and put their automatic reply! bwahhhaaa. Too hilarious but honestly that would piss me off too.

That's why i dont write them about the 'incidents' that i experience, i just know what they will answer, even they encourage us to 'report the incidents', when u get that kind of response u understand how useless it is to report glitches.

This is the first response I got to an identical email that included specs and screenshots:
We're sorry to hear that you're having issues starting your show.
Please go to this troubleshooting page on the Streamate help site: http://streamatehelp.com/i-can-not-s...w/#toggle-id-1
Follow the steps under the "Unable to Start Streaming" section to see if you can resolve the issue.
If you continue to have this problem after trying these steps, let us know! We're here to help.
If you have any other issues, you can view more Streamate help troubleshooting pages here: http://streamatehelp.com/category/help/troubleshooting/
This is the response I received after I responded to that generic email. My email was polite but "passionate":
Sorry about that last response. I'm escalating your matter now. Will be sure to let you know when we receive further word.
I have forwarded your message to the proper department. We will let you know when we receive word back.
My issue wasn't even about starting the show. It was about what happens AFTER I start my show. There've been instances in the past where a second email resolved my issue. Will it this time? I'm just not sure anymore. It's a pretty big deal that they sent out that mass email and acknowledged the issue on twitter. They probably lost a ton of money yesterday and cammers are branching out. Also the rep making an appearance in this thread inspires a little confidence. They really need to stabilize the site.

I think we should just make it a forum policy to forward this sort of shit to Liz and Vanessa. I don't mean to flood them with emails that aren't their problem, but they actually are their problem. Vanessa flat out asked for those exact descriptions to be sent to support only a few days ago and this sort of crap shows that clearly she and the rest of the team aren't getting the information they need due to their own incompetent staffing.
Damn tempted to PM her and point this nonsense out. Oi vey.
Bitching on Twitter will get you a lot further than actually emailing support. Yesterday, I wrote Vanessa a long winded letter about letting us models know when shit is going down...shortly after they sent a mass message on Streamate. I hate having to bitch at one of the only competent people who works at Streamate, but it's the only way to get shit done.
Also, I tweeted Staple's "support" message (without any of your info) @ the Streamate Twitters. They shouldn't fucking ask for error reports if they are just going to blow us off. I'm so fucking fed up.

Need some opinions here....I have not cammed in the last 2 weeks due to going to Florida and shark week but Ive been checking the forums. I was having lower than normal traffic and glitches before I went on vacation and noticed there are still some glitches just from seeing what everyone else is posting. I know I seen somewhere about buying a gaming computer because of the new encoder settings coming out soon
I don't have a gaming computer but I just bought my laptop last year and here is the specs on it :
HP ENVY 17-j100 Notebook PC series
My processor is : Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4700MQ CPU @ 2.40GHZ 2.40 GHZ
Installed Memory (RAM): 8.00 GB
64-bit operating system, x64 based processor
Are we going to need a gaming computer once the new settings for the encoder comes out? If so, what kind should we get? Or will the computer I have right now be ok till I can save the money to get a gaming computer? Just curious cause I will be going to best buy today to look at computers and if we need a gaming computer now I want to be shopping around.

I just noticed that the new settings for the encoder are the exact same ones I use to get variable bit rate. I posted my settings in a previous post. Is Streamate hiring consultants? I have a few other tricks they could probably implement to improve things...hint hint
