    Default Taxes in Canada

So I've been dancing for a few months now... just for the summer basically. When I go back to school I plan on not working since I'd like to concentrate on my studies. I feel like I've gathered enough funds and want to stop working sometime in September.

I've always been a good girl and paid all my taxes on time. I'm already stressing on how I am going to be filing my income tax for the 2011 year, which is only due next year...

I work at several clubs, and do not earn a wage. I pay the clubs "bar-service" to work there, so that means I am not employed by the club.... so...

What do I list myself as? Self-employed- exotic dancer? Does anything go in the tips and gratuities section? What can I put in my deductions?

Also, what percentage should I expect to be taken off my income? I live in Quebec, so I also have to pay provincial tax. And do I get any of those taxes I paid, back from the government?

I've been researching for days now, and I feel like I am confused about the situation. I don't want to get in trouble, that's all!

    Thanks.

This is probably not the response you were looking for, but I highly suggest actually contacting CRA and your provincial tax center. Its better to find out the right information directly from the source than find out the person you asked from the club was even just a little bit wrong and you end up owing a boat load of money.
