    Default Bruises from Pole Dancing

My step mom makes it a point to always point out all the bruises on my legs. Fuck! She knows what I am doing and it annoys the fuck out of me that she point it out and says things like, "wow what have you been up to? You even have bruises on the back of your legs!"
I always come home Sunday night with bruises all over my legs, and now the inside of my arms now that I've learned more tricks. I wonder if I'm just being sloppy with my dancing or if I'm missing some kind of vitamin? Maybe a combination of the two?
I'm new. Its really annoying only because my step mom always has something to say about it and I always tell her I crawl around playing with my daughter or I've been moving boxes (which I have been doing a lot lately), but now she points out the bruises behind my knees, between my thighs and my inner arms. I don't dress like a skank but I live in Miami and can't wear long sleeves every day. I work out and there is no way I can do it in pants... I wear running shorts and a tank top or tee but all the bruises are still visible. I don't know what to do.
    Any advice?

DMSO. when i was hiding my career, i read about it on here, ordered some online and voila! bruises be gone! i think i remember hearing it's for racing horses who sprain their ankles. make sure to take a bath or cleanse the area thoroughly first, then apply with cotton balls over the places you feel a bruise coming on before bed. *do not* apply when anyone might be looking, say before work or seeing your stepmom, because for me anyway my skin turns bright red for awhile until it soaks in.

after so long of doing your pole tricks, you won't bruise from it anymore.

Yeah after a while the body seems to learn to do it so that the bruises don't happen so much. The only exception I have ever seen to this was one girl up in Daytona who was really, really good, but bruised so easily she still almost always had some. I don't know if it was because she was maybe anemic (I seem to recall her telling me she took iron pills)? She did have very pale skin and that didn't help.

But everyone else seems to get past this minor hurdle. You'll be fine in no time I'm sure...

I've been dancing and doing pole tricks for 6 years, on and off. I still bruise. Don't get me wrong, it's not nearly as severe as it used to be (I looked like my legs belonged to a leopard), but I still do.

Arnica helps. Iron, magnesium, and vitamin C all help as well. Icing them after work helps as well.

Arnica (it's a cream) and up your iron intake.

Bruises are something you really can't avoid. The skin coming in contact with the pole will get used to it, but when you learn a new trick you will bruise and get pole burn all over again=) There are supplements you can take, ointments you can use but ultimately they are something you can expect to get every time you plan on expanding your collection of pole tricks.

Well that isn't very helpful. But let me translate what she means: I'm the baddest bitch in the world because I do it all and when I day dream about stripping my imaginary sexy legs don't get all banged up because I'm a fucking PRO on the pole.
Seriously, STFU, I'd like to meet you so you start seeing some bruises in real life.

^Well, maybe she really hasn't. If she is sticking to the same pole tricks I can see how that could happen.

My legs and knees are so bruised it's scary. I feel like people know what I do ALL the time (especially living in Vegas) I use at home spray tan stuff and regular cover up. Both work OK.

Ice and massage also work well.

You can always tell people you've taken up kickboxing as a hobby! I do!

    Hang in there!

Professional submissives use arnica. The pills are better than the ointment which just increases circulation to the area its been applied to. You can get them at a natural food store. They won't stop you from bruising but it'll cut your healing time significantly.
