    Default Best "pencil" eyeliner??

At the moment I am using Mac Fluidline - love it but it doesn't tend to stay all night and I want a more of a pencil-eyeliner style for a more smudged look.
Any suggestions? I have tried a few pencils but they all seemed to drag across my eye and not leave much colour so any suggestions are appreciated!

They're all crap. I use black eyeshadow and an eyeliner brush. Dry for smudged, wet for smooth.

Yup, Id suggest either using black/charcoal eyeshadow applied wet, pot eyeliner or gel eyeliner...whichever one, applied with an eyeliner brush.

In the general, thanks to my asian blood, my eyelids completely disappear, so I like a very solid rick colour for it to stand out, or for sultry sexy eye a smudged smokey eye, which is impossible to get with a pencil.

Right now, Im all about the gel eyeliner, it lasts forever and doesnt wear off. But on the reg, I use a pot liner, or black eyeshadow if in a pinch.

    Ditto pencils here too.

Although if you really want to try them - then Rimmel's medium Kohl pencils are OK-ish, as are Avon's amazingly enough.

Personally, I'd stick with a liquid liner and a very fine modeller's brush. Shilpa Shetty, the Bollywood actress uses a fine brush and her own mix of dark eye shadow and water - and her eye make-up is totally amazing.

Yea, I would say eye primer my favorite is urban decay's potion primer.I also love their color in Sin which is a light golden color and some black eyeshadow applied wet and let dry. The primer will keep in in place as well. I've also used urban decays 24/7 eyeliner and it stay pretty well. I think most stick eyeliners tend to drag so when applying pull your eyelid a little flatter.

Urban Decay primer is amazing. Like, no joke that little bottle workable magic on my eye make-up. No smudging, no sliding just as fresh at the end of the day as when you put it on... Swoon.

Make Up For Ever aqua eyes pencil is the only black liner I use. A tad pricey but completely worth it. Once you use it, I swear you will never use anything else!

Thanks girls- any particular eyeshadow that has a really good pigment? It's hard to find a "black" black, I heard MAC do an intense black shadow but I can't remember the name ... think it starts with C?
We don't have Makeupforever in New Zealand but I will have a trawl around the net and see if I can pick up one for cheap

eta ... no urban decay either grrrr! we are missing out down here!

the black MAC shadow is carbon

urban decay has a very dark black pencil called zero, and a very dark black liquid liner called perversion.

IMO blackest eyeliner would be liquid. Maybelline stiletto liner has an easy to use felt tip and when it dries it will stay. i find it to be similar to lancomes art liner, but it costs a lot less

you could also try using a cake liner

I also find that even the crappiest black will go on nice if you crush it a little and/or wet it. I'm a make up junkie. I have no lie, a tackle box and then some of make up, probably over 100 eyeshadows by now. Please, somebody stop me! AH!

I use a combo of MAC carbon eye shadow and L'Oreal Colorstay eye liner. Lasts all night if you use a primer.

Milani LIQUIF EYE Metallic Eyeliner Pencil. I think it is a pretty good dupe for Urban Decay's Zero.

I couldn't live without Maybelline Expert Eyes Twin Brow and Eye Pencils in Velvet Black.
I use that and light it with a lighter, so it goes on smoother. Blow on it a bit, so it doesn't go on in a blob...it makes it go on really smooth, really dark.

    Love it!
Been using it for years, and years and years. Won't use anything else.

I haven't used this one from Milani but I really like the brand, they are relatively inexpensive but their quality is pretty good. I'd buy milani over covergirl and most of those brands any day. I've never tried their foundations but I have a bunch of shadows, lip sticks and I do have this eyeliner from them that goes on super smooth and dark. I sometimes prefer it to urb decay's, because it is easier to wash off.

That's so funny because when I was around 11 my mom is the one who showed me how to use this eyeliner too with the lighter trick.

    Been doing it ever since.

It is a gift from God. I love their liquid liner. Impossible to get off (which is good!)

If you like their liquid eyeliner for how long it stays you might also light LORAC pro-line. Amazing (never greys out) and the brush works for thin or thick lines, which are tougher with the MUFE aquastay liquid.
