    Default 'R.I.P. Peter Falk, Columbo'

I loved Columbo as a kid and still watch the re-runs now, so I was saddened to hear that Peter Falk passed away at his Beverly Hills home yesterday, aged 83.

I guess that you either loved him or loathed him, however I saw a few of his movies that he made outside Columbo and he was a very talented man. It's just so sad (and ironic) that he had been suffering from Alzheimer's disease and Dementia over the past few years.

He'll be missed by many - may he Rest In Peace.

As good a detective show as has ever been on television.

+1 on above sentiments. Peter Falk will always be "Columbo". That is enough to make one overlook his acting resume. I have seen some of his movies- him and Alan Arkin in 1979 "In-Laws" is one of the funnier movie schticks I've seen. RIP.

Not sure how many know this but in Columbo he would ad-lib a lot just to confuse and annoy the suspect to make it more believable

Yes. He also wrote some of the scripts from the 4th series onwards - and part-owned the Production Company along with British actor Patrick McGoohan.
