Question On tour! Boise, Salt Lake, Vegas, Etc.

    Hey Ladies!

I'm a dancer from Portland currently on the road during summer break from school. If you work in Boise, Salt Lake, Vegas, and/or any points between, and you can help with local club tips, that would be great!
Also, I'm traveling alone so anyone who can buddy up and show me around their club would be awesome. I am a very chill dancer- I like working and I put my all into it, but when I leave work I go home and read a couple of books and take care of my dog. My crazy party days are soooo over! I love this trip so far because the days consist of laying around next to a pool with a book and some vitamin water. Yeah... now THAT is a party.

Thanks for the tips, and I hope to see you in yr town soon
    -Stevie

I wrote this post about Las Vegas about a month ago:

"I've said it a million times, but SR is VERY, VERY, VERY competitive. There are girls who have worked there 15 years- no joke! They are extremely strict on weight, looks etc. It is HIGHLY likely that new girls will get put on 3am shift, which isn't a bad shift- everyone's pockets are loosened up, but they are normally extremely drunk at that point, so you have to hustle pretty hard. I worked there a little over a year, and got a lot of invaluable experience, but do not expect it to be a cake walk. Any girl on this board who has worked there will tell you this place is real shit. It's sharky as hell, the house fees are pretty high, and you are totally just a number. That being said, if you're ok with that by all means try it out. The best advice I can give you is be on your game, don't let anything get to you, and blend in and stay out of management's way.

Sapphire is also big, but less sharky. Again, be prepared for 3am shift if you aren't established with the club. I would also try the new Hustler club, a former co worker of mine is working there now and she likes it pretty well. Club Paradise is also a good club, one of the only places in town that is still a gown club; it's across from the Hard Rock Casino so it's good location. Even though it's pretty slow, the clientele that does come in there is usually high quality.

Treasures is beautiful, and your odds of getting on the prime night shift there (11pm) are good if you go in looking very put together. Again, this club can be super slow, it's a late club so the money doesn't come in until about 1am, then a LOT of industry people hit it up around 5am, which is good for tips. They have a good clientele as well, although there is less lap hopping and more of a "commit to two or three customers" atmosphere.

Palomino for me, ironically, ended up being an untapped gold mine. It's in a shitty neighbourhood, it looks like an old theater inside, but they are the only club in the city with booze and nudity. Floor dances are topless, there is only nudity in VIP. People are generally left to their own devices in VIP, but if you TELL the VIP host (when I was there, it was a black man with a gold tooth named Reggie) to check on you, he will DEFINITELY watch out for you. I always gave him $20 on a 3 for $100, or 10% of my VIP totals. They have low house fees and frankly, the competition isn't very steep, so if you're a hot chick you'll end up being a commodity and not even have to try.

Badda Bing is completely hit or miss. They have only so-so girls, it's pretty damn slow, but again if you find one, you find one. They have some of the nicest VIP suites I've ever seen. Shame they aren't doing better but their owner is a moron.

I've never been to Crazy Horse 3 but I hear it's pretty good now. It was shitty when it was Penthouse but I figure if it's still open in that location three years later they must be doing something right.

I've never been inside Olympic Gardens but I know there is a LOT of prostitution going on there.

Cheetah: Gets a bad rap (they have 2 for $20 dances during the day time) BUT! The house fee is low, and you'll stand out. Big fish, small pond.

Deja Vu Ultralounge: Never been but I worked there when it was Seamless. All I can say is even though it's across from the Orleans, it's sort of an awkward location and doesn't get as much traffic.

The only thing I can say about Larry's Villa is the one time I walked in I saw a dancer sharing a bucket of chicken with a customer.

The only decent nude juice bar clubs are:

Sheri's Cabaret: You have to hustle for tips like a motherfucker, but the VIPs are nice. You have your own MP3 player touch screen embedded in the walls on the VIP, and they have a free shuttle between the club and the prostitution ranch, so if a guy wants sex you can tell him to hop the bus.
Little Darlings: Also a very quiet club (atmosphere wise, not as in slow), they have several types of dances including "bed dances" so if you're not ok with that I wouldn't work here.
Deja Vu Showgirls: In my opinion, the busiest one, but I've never been inside there.

    STAY THE HELL OUT OF:

Foxy Lady: Small and shitty, like 4 dancers a shift small and shitty.
Talk of the Town: Tiny and full of extras.
Glitter Gulch: the manager is a fucking pervert and asked me to see my labia, under the guise of "I need to see if you need to wear two thongs".
Showgirl Video: this is a"DUH" but i had to mention it.
    Club Platinum: BARF.
The Library: $35 lifetime admission. 'Nuff said.
Babes: Kind of younger local crowd who goes there just to smoke hookah and not tip. Fail.
Can Can Room: BROTHEL. BROTHEL. BROTHEL. When dudes walk in the door the manager automatically asks them to select a girl and hustles them into VIP. It's gross.
    Diamond's: Again, small and shitty.

I don't think I am leaving anyone out now that Rick's is closed. Good luck. "

Thumbs up Re: On tour! Boise, Salt Lake, Vegas, Etc.

I'm in slc working at southern exposure downtown. For what I know there is 3 southern xposures. One is nude one does lap dances and the other has alcohol. Dont go to the lap dance club. They don't make much. American bush is heard to be a dump. I went there and none of the girls are pretty but they do lap dances. For their hiring you have to go to Monday night ameture night. The other top club in slc is trails. Trails has alcohol and I heard they make less money then the other clubs mentioned. Every club requires a licensing that you need to go through the club to get and costs 215 dollars. If you want to do lap dances I would suggest american bush but if not then I heard the southern xposure with alcohol makes pretty good money but bare very slow right now and the girls are older there. The club I work at makes on average 250 a night. More on weekends and don't ever do a day shift. They are terrible. Let me know if you have any questions

I've never worked there, but SR has a club in Boise. Might be worth a look.

I just came from working the Rhino in Boise! It was a good club, definitely money potential... BUT, coming from Portland where we don't really have to pay house fees I was in for a shock at the end of the night when the Rhino took about 1/3 of what I had made. They get you for EVERYTHING- $1 from every $10 air dance, $2 from every $20 lap dance, a good chunk of VIP rooms, I think about 10% of funny money, and of course house fee and tip outs on top of that. Geez. I felt completely robbed. On the positive side though, the managers seemed flexible and will let some fees slide at times like if you don't make money. The girls at the club were super nice too, no cattiness and definitely a feeling of comraderie. I'm not sure how girls were making money- I saw the count sheets from both Friday and Saturday night and I had made like three times as much as everyone else in terms of dances and VIPS. So I was a happy camper... and the other girls seemed happy too. I think they make more on weeknights.

I will definitely go back to the Boise Rhino, especially cuz hotels in Boise are so cheap! I paid $60 for a suite at a huge Doubletree with an amazing pool complex that had a pool bar... paid more than that for Motel 6 in Bend the week before.

Chastity, I just got to SLC today. I'll send you a PM too but just in case... do you really have to pay $200 for a license to work in town? At any club? Yikes. That makes me want to skip it and move on to Vegas. But I really like Salt Lake so far and want to hang out here for awhile. If I work for 3 nights would I even make enough to cover hotel and license and still profit? Hmmm. Do you have to get the license first? Or do they let you work for a few days to make money for it?
And can you audition and start at clubs right away? I definitely don't have time to wait til next Monday to work at Bush.

THanks so much for yr help!

Your trip sounds fun. I have wanted to do a countrywide tour just for the hell of it. Doubt I'll ever have the time though because of school. You've inspired me!

    Bunni,

I am in school too! The trick is to give up your apartment for summer break and hit the road. At least that's what I did

    Hi ladies!

In Vegas now. I finally just got done with the day-long process of getting paperwork. The Rhino dudes were nice about giving me the application and info. I'm going on auditions tonight: Rhino, Palomino and Sapphire in that order. Voila! Wish me luck!

    Hi!

I'm doing 2:30 am shift at Rhino and at Sapphire's I think I can work any shift... I worked 10-3 the other night. Tried to get into Palomino but they said they weren't hiring for summer.
So far I can't tell what's what. The Rhino shift is $80 while same shift is $15 at Sapphire's, so I lean towards that just because I don't like people taking my money! Ha. But Rhino is a beautiful club. Going to work there tonight, Friday, or is it early Saturday morning? Hmmm.
I was a leeeetle surprised I didn't get night shift at Rhino but then again I've read all over stripperweb that it can be hard especially when yr new. And, I'm only here for a couple weeks. And, I'm 35 (even though I look about 24 at the OUTSIDE, baby faced) and sometimes I feel like the managers see my age on paper and automatically go "day shift?"
ALSO. My friend just arrived from Portland and we'd planned on working together. But, every single club we've gone to together to try out has turned us away. She is a dark-skinned black girl with African features. I can't help but think there's just some racism going on, because she is 21 and has a flawless body (tiny waist, huge natural boobs, etc) and because I got hired at supposedly the two top clubs when I went in by myself, but even Cheetah and OG turned us away together, even for day shift.
    Any remarks, anyone?
Where can my friend work? People said to check out Little Darlings and Strip Hop.

    Thanks

She has a waaay better chance at getting hired at Strip Hop. I heard that it's not that bad over there; pretty decent money.

Or have her try Palamino; it's a black oriented club.

The Rhino 2:30AM shift is only $50. Are you going offstage?
I definitely prefer Rhino over Sapphires, It's a classier environment and you don't feel like you're in a warehouse. Also, Rhino doesn't take a % out of your VIPs (which is always good- I HATE that)

Age means nothing as long as you look good Congrats on both offers, Hope to see you at the SR!

I'm relatively new to Vegas and can't suggest a place for your friend but hopefully she finds a cool place to work as well. This is a big enough town for everyone to make money, she will get something.

If you've read on here the majority of girls that try out for nights get dayshift. I wouldn't take it personal, when I auditioned only 1 other girl out of 10 girls got night shift. It's Vegas they're picky and it's a stricter hiring criteria. I'm black and I don't know where your friend should go work. I worked at Cheetah's, Sapphire and Rhino. I can ask around for you.

    Hi!

We left Vegas. We both pretty much hated it there. I can see it being a good place to work, but I got frustrated with the overnight shift and my friend never got hired anywhere. So we went to LA and immediately got hired at Crazy Girls, the first place we tried out at! Yay.

I love LA so far! It's such a cool city. Except I am having a rough time finding a dog-friendly hotel under like $300.

    Thanks ladies!

I liked Sapphire but they changed my shift, I refuse to work dayshift/early morning at Sapphire. But I can work nights at Rhino WTF?! I guess I pissed someone off at Sapphire oh well......

    Katrina-

I had a similar experience and was soooo confused. I was hired for 2am shift at Rhino but worked nights at Sapphire for my first three shifts, including Friday and Saturday. And I made good money without having to stay up til 10am, so I went back to work at Sapphire again on Sunday, at which point I was told that I work the 2am shift. Huh??! No matter how many times I tried to explain to them that I had been working nights, they just gave me blank bouncer-dude stares. The weird thing is, too, it was the only time I've showed up for work without any makeup on. Hmmm.
Honestly though, I was annoyed with Vegas but now that I'm in LA the grass is a teeeensy bit greener. I like the rock/punky vibe of the Hollywood clubs a lot more than the whole "now I will pretend I am a wealthy princess for six hours" game, but the money was way better in Vegas.
