Default experiences with working in ethnic clubs

i've heard from a lot of dancers that working in a ethnic club is harder to make money than working in white clubs. i now can say that i have total understanding of this. my question is how the hell does anyone make it work? in my personal life, i'm not a black man fan. with the job, i've tried to keep na open mind and be like fuck it i'm bout money. honestly, i'm sick of it. for the most part they aren't tryna spend any money, and if they are, they expect so damn much my god (acting as if they are kings and your putting on a show for your highness). when i used to hostess in white clubs or clubs that had more white clientele. you might have one or two pimps that role threw but not like this. its pimpn all damn day. i'm sick of it. i feel like this i'm on my damn job, i don't wanna get to know no damn pimp. i don't wanna be on his team i frankly just don't give a shit. i'd like to hear other experiences with this?

I just act like I don't give a fuck because in reality I don't. I only see one color when I roll into any kind of club. GREEN

All 'ethnic' clubs are not created equal. It sounds like you're in a shitty one.

The main difference between how you make money in black clubs and white clubs is that in white clubs you're main goal is to sell lap dances but in black clubs, lap dances are less popular and you make money by getting rained on and just dancing for the guys out on the floor. In one way, black clubs are easier because you can make a ton of money just dancing on stage without anybody even touching you. If your stage set is 10 minutes and you got rained on a few times, you could make a couple hundred dollars in that 10 minute period which is easier than 10 minutes of getting groped during a lap dance. On the other hand, sometimes white clubs can be easier because in a white club, you dance for the guy in the lap dance section and you know that when you're done with that 3 minute little dance, you're getting $20 (or whatever the lap dance price is) but in a black club, you could be dancing for a guy out on the floor for 10 minutes and he might give you 2 bucks for your trouble.

Ethnic clubs also vary depending on which city you're in. Certain clubs attract a higher end clientele than others. The clubs that they talk about in all the rap songs are where you want to work. The rest of them aren't mentioned in songs because they aren't worth mentioning which means they generally aren't worth working in.

I think the big thing in ethnic clubs is showmanship. They want a fucking 3 ring PT Barnum extravaganza, and at some clubs I have seen them deliver. I have seen girls do shit with their ass cheeks that I didn't think was possible to to the simple laws of physics. Same with pole work.

Lmao, yeah, being a really good dancer never hurts your money in black clubs. Being friends with the ballers that night won't hurt you either. If you're their friend, you can go stand on stage and just lean against the pole and they will still throw money at you.

You guys all maybe valid points. For me I'm new to dancing so all of this wild booty stuff is like over my head. Honestly, I'm not making money. Instead of trying to make friends with me the guys come in all trying to pimp me lol seriously it's lame. I'm not even able to make drink commision because all they wanna do is fuck an I try to just b like o really like giggle a little bit to get them to buy me drink Jackasses won't even do that. If u ain't fuckn we ain't spendin money eww seriously. They just have no class. (the customers at my club anyway)

MiSS.NY: I'm starting to think so. If it continues to be like this Ima bounce. There's hella money there if you can dance like that but otherwise I feel out of my ish.

The every guy is coming to pimp you thing is a big red flag. Sure there are pimps around, but I've worked at big black clubs exclusively and I've come into contact with maybe 3 guys that were openly trying to be my pimp, and I've been doing this for a year so if you're getting a pimp a night, that place sounds reallllllllllllly ghetto.
