    Default Any recommendable books??

Hey girls lately I've been feeling kinda Down cuz I'm forced to move out since my landlord is selling the property I'm at. I do okay at work but, I just want to know how to bank every night. I always hear girls banking whether at my club or here at SW. I think I need to stop feeling bad for custies, after all they came to spend $$ oh yeah and see skin. Are there any books you guys recommend on making more cash every night. And did it help you. I apologize if there is a thread like this already. I just couldn't find it. Thanks

    The Traveler's Gift
    The Alchemist

-Just recently finished Alchemist, moved on to Traveler's and I must say they have been absolutely life-changing all around. I need to get Think and Grow Rich!

^^^Good suggestions Ecdysiast. I looked them up on Amazon and I think I'm going to start with The Alchemist.

Jasminebg some other good books to read are Secrets of the Millionaire Mind, and The Law of Success.

Law of Success is the long version of Think and Grow Rich. So for all you TAGR fans pick up the Law of Success. It's one gigantic 600 page paperback book for $11.00 on Amazon!

You can also check out my sites listed in the links below. I have some blog posts that talk about hustling and working in the clubs.

^Ya if you like the premise that Think and Grow Rich works with, FOR SURE read The Law of Success. You will also get strong lifting and carrying it around.

Brittany Ireland here on SW has a web program and you i think you can purchase cd's too ... it's all about stripper success techniques ... i can't remember the name of the program, but you can search her name and there should be a link ... i have not met her, but some of the dancers who've bought the program, really found it helpful and she's worked at some good clubs here in Phoenix which is an indication that she probably really does have some real wisdom to share

I added a book club to one of my sites:

    Stripper Book Club

I chose The Alchemist as the first book since it's quick and dirty.

If you join the club people can suggest or ask for books then swap notes on them. Mainly I would like to do self help and business books.

It may not seem apparent at first, but trust me, it changes your perspective. If you can see everything from the customer's point of view, and turn things around on him, it WORKS!

I wanted to add to this list because for my birthday I go a book called The Twelve Universal Laws of Success by Herbert Harris. It is based largely on the principals of attraction like the others I mentioned, but better. Its AMAZING and I've read lots of these types of books, not overly long either, or long-winded and boring. This book gets straight to the point(s) and gives you homework too, which I always like.

I love Rich Dad Poor Dad. It's not really a Sales book, but more about getting ahead in life in general. It might not give ideas that apply to making money in the club but it certainly gets me feeling motivated/productive in a financial way which puts me in a good headspace to go hustle.

Awesome list! One more addition that works great for strippers: Superflirt by Tracey Cox. It teaches you how to read body language, and how to get better reactions out of your customers (it's a dating book but it works in the clubs too) by using the right body language.

I've read both of those. I like the idea of 4HWW, but the whole concept is to outsource to a foreign country. That makes me feel like a bad American. I am all about hiring locals to help me when I need some extra time, though!

I read The Art of Non-Conformity and go back to it often if I am having a bad day and need a kick in the ass. I mean, we are strippers, so being non-conformists should come natural, right?

"Blink" by Malcolm Gladwell. Pop science and relies mostly on anecdotal stuff, but it's an interesting look at snap judgments and how minds can be primed for a certain reaction. Definitely relevant to making quick judgments about others, as well as understanding how you're unconsciously judged in return.

All of Robert Greene's books are really good! The 48 Laws Of Power is really good, too. Also my Greene. You can probably download the audiobook and put it on an ipod. Try googling the title of the book + mediafire or + filestube.

I don't find that 4HWW's whole concept is outsourcing to foreign nations. He offers an example in the book about outsourcing your dinner to someone local who will cook it for cheap. He also highlights that "you get what you pay for," so having a personal assistant in another country who can't understand English because you can pay them $2/hr is going to be a source of many headaches.

I like that it talks about creating your own product from start to finish, living independently, making time/money while traveling the world (like a lot of dancers do), and how not to get burnt out.

With that being said, I do feel that 4HB is just a re-invention/re-hash of the Atkin's Diet, but there is some pretty awesome information in there that would benefit a lot of men and women. Good research and/or new concepts are always worth exploring.

I've been reading some good stuff by Joe Girard lately: How to close every sale. How to sell anything to anyone.

    Thanks, Polly!

There's a link in my signature and we have some free things you can download (PDF)

The whole program is online now and mostly taught through videos.

I'm not gung-ho about trying to sell it here in SW, but since you asked...

    Thanks for remembering!

A good motivational book which will hopefully help get you back on your feet after this discouraging time right now is 'It's not how good you are, it's how good you want to be', there are some nice little reminders of why it's good that you go through shitty and disheartening moments and the good that can come from it and how to turn it around (:
