I love the mid-shift and often work 4-9. I like it because the day shift can get super quiet right after our lunch buffet ends, and starts to pick up around 3:30-4 with the afterwork crowd. Working the mid-shift lets me get in to work right when these guys are coming in, so I often get to go on stage with a busy club and am in a good mood (versus having been sitting around for an hour or so doing nothing during the day shift), which helps me make more money with less effort. I find that it dies down a bit around 7:30-8, so I tend to leave at 9 (minimum shift is 5 hours) but I like having the option to stay until 2am if I feel like it without having to pay any other fees. Plus it's nice to have the night to myself if I choose to leave at 9!

I generally like earlier afternoon/evening shifts. I like the business men, they are less likely to be drunk & don't get as handys. Plus, I think I tend to get more strings of dances with the business men.

If you get on the floor around then and REALLY mingle it's all urs. Around 4 is great at my club, suggestion is try everyone it can't hurt i'm sure ur confident enough. Also u get to go home earlier and the crowd is a lot more respectful. TRY IT OUT MY LOVE

In CA I really liked mid's too. The day girls are getting tired by the time you come in and often times when the day-shift ends there are no girls because night girls come in later at 8 or 9 even though night shift started at 6:30pm. At my club only 4 or so would show up for mid's and so we could get a bunch of dances before night girls even showed up. Also, if you haven't made your quota you can always stay over an extra hour or so.

I like it. I'm home early enough to go out but I can still sleep in.

I use mid shift as potential extra time if I choose to come in early. I'm usually scheduled for nights but we're allowed to work earlier or later than our shift, as long as we do our scheduled hours too. So if I don't have anything else on before work, I'll go in early to make some extra cash before my actual shift begins.

I've only done mid shifts a couple of times. Each time it was pretty slow, but better quality customers and fewer girls or no other girls till 7pm or later.

Old ass thread, but I gotta put in my love for mid-shift! It's my preferred shift. Not all clubs have one, though.

Some clubs are lenient about mid-shifters coming in early/staying late, others are uptight. I had one night manager get angry with me once because I stayed late. I hadn't planned to, but dude, I was in VIP, what did you want me to do, get up and leave? "Sorry, can't do another hour, 'cause I gotta clock out! See ya!" ..No. smh

I love working mid-shifts. Here in Detroit my club(s) don't require any type of schedule so I just come in whenever I want... I used to work solely night shifts (7pm-2am) but now with school my schedule is changing up a bit and I work mid/split-shift when it's convenient. The money potential is just as good, if not better, because you get your day shift businessmen and the busier night shift. At my club there's a 4-12 mid shift and I think there's also the availability of a 3-11 shift. When I'm working a mid-shift I try to make the most of it so I'll start at 3 instead of 4. It's great though because I can get home about 12:30-1 instead of 2:30-3am, or if I'm feeling up to it I'll stay through all the way until 2am to maximize my earning potential. But my club is pretty lax, especially with me because the management appreciates my work ethic, so I can show up at 1pm, 2pm, (so on and so forth) and leave any time after I've put in the standard 7 hours of work.

I work mids ( 3-8 ) because it's convenient without being out really late and it seems to do pretty well. The only downside is that if I choose to stay after 8, I have to tip out both day and night managers and DJs, so an extra $20 goes bye-bye :/ On the other hand, I can also go in any time from 11 on and catch the lunch crowd too, so I can avoid the extra tip out and later hours.

I like that it's more laid-back and I'm more likely to get paid just to chat than to have to hustle for dances. The only schwasted guys are these regulars that hang out at the bar area, so no grabby dances. I'm also the only young dancer (no offense to anyone here, but the girls on the lunch/mid look like 40 year old chain smokers) so it's REALLY easy for me to sell.
