    Default Newbie success (so far...)

All thanks to the lovely ladies at StripperWeb! I've been lurking on here for like a year and boy did it pay off. I went to audition at a club on Sunday and I was nervous as hell but felt prepared thanks to this forum. I danced to one song and they had me come back the next day to do a double shift! I made twice as much as what I thought I would on my first day.

Anyways, I think I got off to a good start. Everyone was asking me where I danced before and aren't believing me when I say I haven't! My stage show is getting better but I still suck ass at lap dances. Air dances, specifically. I'm going in for my fourth shift today and just wanted to throw out a huuuuuge thank you to all the girls on here who give awesome advice!

Oh, also, tiny technical issue: I can't figure out how to find threads that I've commented on. There has to be a way to do that, right? Hopefully I'll be able to find this one again!

Congratulations on your successful audition and your terrific first night of work!

The "how to find threads that you've commented on" process is really easy. (Now, I hope that I'll explain it clearly! LOL!)

Just click on your screen name ("Veganista") that appears in large letters in the upper left corner of all of your posts. A list or menu will appear; the third line on the list will say "Find more posts by Veganista." Just click on that line, and it will take you to a page listing all of your posts.

You can also click on your screen name in the upper right hand corner of every page--where it says "Welcome, Veganista." That will take you to your personal profile page; I believe that you'll find a list of all your posts if you click on the "Statistics" tab.

Once again, congratulations on your success and keep up the good work!

Congratulations, I'm glad you did so well! And don't worry about the lap dances...you'll quickly learn how to do them, and you'll realize that they're actually quite monotonous a lot of the time. The same moves over and over and over...but it's the little sensual things that guys are looking at, not your choreography. Let your hair trail over his chest...breathe very softly onto his ear or neck...do the body slide thing without really touching him that much. Another good technique, as silly as it sounds, is to do moves that are just like stretching. I always get wicked good reactions whenever I do that. Good luck!

Grac: Thanks a million! Now I can effectively communicate on a message board for the first time ever. Wooo!

I will say this: I'm glad my first shift was a day shift, because coming in during the changeover from day to night is a little stressful. There's no room to put your stuff and it's really chaotic in the dressing room. So I'd recommend for first-time-ever shifts, do a day shift!

Dacoda: I got a cheap dancer bikini (tri top and legal-width thong) and put some little hot shorts that I already had over the thong. I wore my "Adore" Pleaser boots that' I've had forever. Good thing I've already known for a long time that stripper shoes are more comfortable than regular high heels! I can't even remember what the hell I did onstage for the audition, but I'm sure it was really awkward and way too fast. One guy came up and tipped me during it, so maybe that helped. It was definitely a pity tip!

I definitely played the "it's my first time dancing" card to my advantage. I wonder how long I can pull that off for ;-)

Awww these are awesome! I haven't auditioned yet, so I'd love to hear more news from the newbies about what it's like to adjust and how the money's going!

Hey i'm also new i just auditioned two days ago and they had me start that day! the only problem was finding dances. with tipping and payout i barely made anything and all the guys in there didn't have money for private dances, or were just "chillin" or promised themselves they weren't gunna get a private dance that night.. ok so how does anyone make money than if no one want's to spend any???
