    I think most after pics are either taken at 6 weeks post op or 6 months post op. Some doctors do it differently. Usually they will make a note of when the photos were taken-- if its past 2 or 3 months and they still look weird, that's not a good sign.

    Have you looked on realself? Usually those have notes with them as to when the pic was taken. Also, look up Dr. Revis, Dr. Pousti, or Dr. Pelletiere's websites-- they're generally regarded as doing very good work. And whoever did J.D.'s boobs, don't know his name, but I remember her posting his website and thinking he was good too.

    The bump you're referring to is normal post-op swelling. And yes, this is what is referred to as the breasts will "drop". They'll start to look more like the intended outcome (if everything went well during the surgery). It's really important to follow the docs self-care instructions pre- and post-op for the best outcome. The pics are usually taken about 6-8 weeks post-op and that's probably why you're seeing this unnaturally swollen look on most before/afters.
