Smiley How do you "spot" a Big Spender?

I've been thinking--How do you spot a big spender? Are there certain things they do that distinguish themselves from the rest of the crowd? I know how they dress may be different--but how--because you have some "millionaires next door" types out there that dress very casual. Is it how they carry themselves?

    Thanks In Advance!

you can't. there are rich guys who don't spend and poor guys who'll give you everything in their wallet.

a better tactic is to steer away from the time wasters aka the guys who talk your ear off for as long as they can while trying to cop a feel for free until you ask them for a dance and they're like "HA I don't get dances"

and hustle EVERYBODY. be quick and precise. talk, be friendly, but get to the point. if he wants to spend on you, he will spend.

and maybe instead of trying to hustle the dude with the rolex watch and armani suit sipping patron on the rocks, maybe go up to the fat old bearded guy with the mustard stained wifebeater and a bud light that all the other girls just pass right by. you could be surprised. and if he turns you down then try to hustle the lawyer, but don't assume that since he makes six figures he wants a champagne room. I've spent hours with doctors and attorneys who only get one dance and leave.

^^^ I agree. I have been surprised in the past.
There was this really young (younger than me, I think) college-looking guy sitting by himself in my club that the other girls were pretty much ignoring. I went up to his table to say hello, and he ended up buying an hour in the CR with me.
I have a couple of other stories like this, and I'm sure most other strippers do too (especially the ones who have been dancing longer than I have - which includes most of the members on this board).

There are plenty of guys who get ignored because they look too young/not dressed well enough/ their ethnicity (sadly)/a multitude of other reasons, but you really can't tell how much money a guy has to spend by looking at him.

On the other side of the coin, there are guys who will dress flashy and act like they have a lot of money because they enjoy getting all the girls' attention - but these guys either don't have the money to spend, or aren't willing to part with it. ($30k Millionaires, anyone?)

That being said, I don't know about the whole mustard stain idea, lol. I'd like to think a man can shower and put on a clean shirt before asking me to dance in his lap, whether he's buying a $40 dance or a $600 CR.

it would be ideal if they could put on a clean shirt but the most expensive CR I've ever sold was to a smelly guy with a stained shirt. not over the top smelly, but a slight hint of B.O. he actually approached me and asked for a couple dances he ended up spending almost a grand on me between the dances, the CR, and buying me dinner and drinks.

he was actually really nice (a little off... but still nice) and to think...if he could just put on a clean shirt once in a while he would probably never have to go to the SC lol.

one of my regulars is a waiter and he always buys lap dances and drinks when i talk to him. none of the other girls talk to him, so he thinks i'm the only girl that's not snobby (probably true at my club lol). he also comes in almost every day looking for me, even though i only work once a week, if that. oh yeah and like others have said, guys with money don't always spend. i think it's because they're constantly bombarded with attention from dancers. sometimes they do buy dances for their not-so-rich friends though so if you hit it off with him, you might not walk away empty-handed. also, they will sometimes rather tip you for your time instead of getting a dance

mmm don't go buy the bartender's "OMG THAT GUY HAS SO MANY HUNDREDS IN HIS WALLET YOU SHOULD HIT HIM UP EVEN THOUGH HE IS COVERED IN URINE AND BLOOD"

he is carrying around a bunch of wallets because he doesn't qualify for a bank account.

also, anyone who spends more than thirty seconds telling you how many boats they have and you find that you don't believe a goddamn word out of their mouth...

honestly, if you assume everyone has some money to spend, and then weed out the idiots within 60 seconds, this is a better approach (i've found) then playing spot the whale.

i mean, you can do the clothes thing, and look for men with nice belts and shoes that aren't rubber-soled and all that bullshit, but as long as you have a credit card, you can afford a champagne room.

i dunno if i'm making any sense i've been drinking since 4pm

Sometimes you can just feel it too. My big spenders were always alone, dressed down and laid back.

Also if I see any hosts that kiss ass to a customer, he's a good target too.

this. a guy who comes into a SC doesn't need to prove anything. if he seems like he's trying to prove how much money he has it means he wants you to think you're gonna get a ton of money off him so you'll stick around longer.

I talked to one guy who said he made $10,000 a WEEK and when I went on stage he gave me one dollar and when I asked him for a dance he said no. he gave me the bullshit about wanting to take me out and take care of me instead

Guys don't get rich by throwing money around. It's easier to empty the wallets of the men who aren't so smart with their money.

He is open and approachable. If he looks like he will bite your head off if you bother him, he probably will or at least dismiss you with a wave of his hand or a curt "no thanks" before you even open your mouth to say hello.

He looks like he's looking for something. Not like he's looking for a specific person, but like he's window shopping for something he might like. If he sees something cute, he'll buy it. Its like when girls go shopping, "This purse is so cute! It costs $500 but I have to get it!" Even if he doesn't know exactly what he wants, you could be the girl that goes up to him and give a great first impression and then you'll grow on him and then he'll find you irresistable and then he'll spend all his cash on you and then he'll pull out his credit card. He could also be looking around carefully to try and pick out the best girl to make sure that his big money is well spent. If you make eye contact and his eyes linger on you longer than the other dancers, maintain the eye contact and walk toward him..he's all yours!

I have to agree with what everyone else has said here, although I have to say that one tell tale sign that I learnt from one of the girls at my club is to pay attention to what the customer is drinking. Be aware of what the cheapest drink is at your club, as, chances are that if they're drinking it, they really don't want to have to part with any more money than they absolutely have to!

Honestly, I wish it was easier to spot a big spender. But sadly, most ways to spot a whale aren't reliable.

For example, the clothes thing was mentioned. I've also looked for guys who tip well, and it's kinda 50-50 whether or not the customer is there to spend on dances, or just wants to tip well. Couples too-sometimes they spend A LOT, and sometimes they just want to watch and tip.

"Spot the Whale", to me, is a crapshoot. Sometimes, it works, sometimes, it doesn't.

I can give you a few good tips, though, that work for me most of the time.

*When a group of guys comes in, go for the least-good-looking one and flirt your ass off. More than likely, he will spend on you because he's more used to girls flirting with his more handsome friends.

*look to see who is looking around, checking out the scene, and has open and inviting body language, such as arms to side with an open lap and smile. This customer is begging for a girl to come say hi.

*watch the ATM and see who is pulling money, then go and get him! lol And look and see who is spending money on dances and don't wait too long to go get this customer, because if he spending freely, the money will be gone soon.

*Make friends with the birthday boy and/or bachelor. Sit with him, and flirt with both one or two of his "sponsers" and especially with him. Have the friends buy a dance or two for him, then hustle him for more. EX: "You really enjoyed that, right? Well, Your friend/brother/dad/etc bought you this dance, how about you get the next one?" Or some such version of this.

    Good luck!

I try and talk to everyone. couple weeks ago tgere was a group of college guys at the club being compleatly ignored by all the dancers. I went to talk to him abd he got 2 vip's ($110). So not a big spender but heres the catch. Since that night hes been back twice a week to get 2 vip's. And that guaranteed $400/week is nice.........

And tonight I had a 22 year old come in got 2 dances, didn't "look like" a millioniar. Long story short after the two dances he took me to vip, and kept me there for the rest of the night. Long story short, talk to everyone, you never know... And a good way to think about it is outside of the club no one would guess im a stripper so I don't go on first impressions either...

There is no way of telling but I can say that just because a customer says hes a lawyer it dOesnt mean he is. I have met a "lawyer" who claimed to be genorous and ended up buying only one dance (as always). The last straw was when he took off my top and licked my breast ewwwwww then had the balls to give me a "one free lapdance card" which the club gives out to customers who comes early. Now i avoid him when ever i see him because he always tries to get a cheap thrill whenever he sees me. Not worth it.

Yep. If a host orders a complimentary drink for a customer it is usually a good give away.

Really big give away #1: not drinking anything, or drinking something non-alcoholic like water, perrier, pop. If they're not there for beer, then they're almost DEFINITELY there for boobies

Really big give away #2: Staring around the club aimlessly, kind of watching the stage show, but also checking out the other girls. Like the "window shopping" mentioned above.

Really big give away #3: A guy that smiles/makes eye contact/ says hello directly to YOU. If a guy finds you that intriguing that he approaches you first, though he may not be a "big" spender, he probably likes you enough to spend some money on you, with little convincing to do on your part
