    Default Amazon Wishlist Issue

So I'm having some issues with creating a wishlist and Amazons support isn't much of a help. Since I know a lot of you ladies use Amazon wish lists, I was hoping someone could help me out.
When I click the "see what they see" button for my wishlist, on the side I can still see my full name and city and state which is not good. I called Amazon and the man I talked to assured me that the only reason I could see that information was because I was logged in so I trusted him and ended the call. Then I tried to view my wishlist in another browser, where I wasn't logged in, and I could still see that information.
If anyone could tell me how I can completely hide my name, address, etc. for my wish list, I'd really appreciate it!

Why is your real name on there? If you get a mailbox at UPS Store or someplace like that, you can put your stage name on the box and receive mail addressed to that name. But I believe if you get a P.O. box, your real name is public record. If you're trying to get packages sent to your house, I don't see why you would have to have your real name on there either.

I'm pretty sure you are required to show a city and state to get packages from Amazon. You could always just ask for gift cards if you're not comfy with them having that information.

When I select the address that I want to use, it automatically shows my real first and last name and city and state. The city and state would be okay but the name is not good. hah But I never thought about getting a mailbox at a UPS store or something so I'll check into that! Thank you! =)

Hey Pike, not sure if you have twitter but if you do definitely look into @wishlistgirls.... I hooked up with them 3 weeks ago and they help you promote your wishlist and any questions you might have about it.... Since I hooked up with them they promote the crap out of me and I have already received 5 or 6 gifts off my wishlist! They are wonderful!!!

Have you ordered things from Amazon before using your real name? Maybe that's why? You might need to make a new Amazon account.

This is that I did. I only have my wishlist listed on my Southern Charms site. I used my cam name to set up the account and left the address blank. On my wishlist page it says to email me for my PO box address.

You can use your fake name (you should have a fake real name for when guys ask) and then on the 1st address line write c/o (in care of) your real name, then write your address as usual. This is what an example might look like if your fake name is Sarah Dean and your real name is Amber Smith:

    Sarah Dean
    c/o Amber Smith
    123 Main Street
    City, State 12345

I've shipped things like this before and it always works. If you have a UPS store box, definitely use that. Otherwise, use the fake name. Even if the guy knows what city you live in, he'll probably never find you because of the fake name.

Yeah, I have a decent wishlist, but live in a smaaaall town where (if I ever went outside anyway, lol) you'd be able to recognize me in an instant. What I'm doing now is having an Amazon-gift card-related fundraiser, where they get a slight break if they pay in Amazon cards

Have those of you who don't want your town visible considered getting a mailbox in another town? That's what I'm going to do...I don't really want anyone knowing what city I live in either. They'll still know what area you're in, but it feels a little safer to me.

^I've considered it, but I'm totally not lying when I tell the guys I live in the middle of nowhere. The nearest town is an hour away and STILL gives too close to my location for my comfort. As it is ALSO in the middle of nowhere.

Do you know if you're allowed to do that across state lines? The nearest big city to me is the next state over. Not far at all to drive if I had a UPS store box there or something but I don't know if they'd allow it.
Also speaking of UPS store.. So if I had gifts sent there, can I use that as my Amazon address? so that the only thing anyone would see would basically be

    Stage Name
    123 UPS Store Street
    City, State 12345

    Thank you!

Sara, I think that really depends on the Post Office... I have never had a PO Box but IDK if you need to show proof of address, etc, but I dont think so since you can use your stage name, so I dont see why not? Can't hurt to call the local PO in the next town and ask!
