Default Do infections sometimes just go away?

I'm pretty prone to yeast infections so it doesn't surprise me to have one about once a month or every 2 months. I just sigh and deal with it. About 2 weeks ago, I swore I had an infection, but after about 4-5 days of not getting to the store, the day I finally went and picked up cream, I realized it wasn't really there anymore... So I didn't use the cream, and it hasn't returned. That's never happened to me before. Does anyone know what that could mean/be?

Have you tried looking up "yeast infections" on WebMD.com?

    From webMD.com:

"Vaginal yeast infections often clear up on their own without treatment, usually when menstruation begins. Menstrual blood raises the vaginal pH, causing the number of yeast cells to decrease because they can't grow in the pH present during menstruation."

Most articles are about the symptoms or what can mimic a yeast infection. But none say that anything would mimic an infection and then go away... they all need treatment. It's weird.

Maybe you had more healthy bacteria in your diet a la yogurt and it helped slowly replace the healthy bacteria that normally fights yeast?

Hmm... I haven't been eating yogurt. During that time, I was visiting my parents and definitely eating healthier than I usually do but I don't think I had anything that specifically helps yeast infections. You never know though. I also haven't had my period since then... I just thought it was really odd since it's never cleared up on its own before. But I guess it's possible.

It can go away on its own. Most things your body can cure itself but often just takes way to long so meds are the way to go. Google anti-candida diet. I did that and didnt get yeast infections for over a year.
