    Default Thank you JD!

For all the amazing product information, but specifically for the Shellac recommendation. I just had a french manicured shellacked onto my hands and toes, they look fake without all the damage to your nails fakes cause. Clean, crispy, shiny - amazing!

PS. Thank you for Jabatan also, its changed my skincare regimen a lot!

girl, i keep saying, "just do whatever j.d. says". why make life difficult when you can just ask jd and do whatever she says?

speaking of which, jd, please recommend a body product for brightening and exfoliation.

Honestly, I don't exfoliate my body very often, and when I do, I just use those exfoliating gloves you can buy anywhere. I do use lotion though every day, usually Shikai Coconut or Sandalwood. I was using Philosophy firming emulsion, and it was very rich and hydrating, leaving a slight oil on your skin, but for that price, I wouldn't use it every day. Shikai is much less expensive and honestly if you read the label, the ingredients are better than most of those super expensive lotions. I also only use Shikai body wash, even to shave.

i want to exfoliate my back really well. those gloves might do it. i just feel like my back skin is dull because you can only get to it so well.

meant to call you this weekend but i didn't want to interrupt any wrapping-penises-in-tortilla activities..

Don't anyone of you women know that putting a plethora of chemicals on your skin can damage it in the long run?

but here's my ? jd, how do you moisturize in the summertime? because all of these products have oil in them? you just lotion up and then put sunblock on top?

I used to have super oily skin, it seems to get drier and drier as I get older.....

Right now, the moisturizer I am using (Murad Essential C) has built in spf 30. If I'm going to be outside more than 20 minutes, I put on extra layer of spf 45 (La Vanila The Face Sunscreen), it's all physical, so VERY white until it absorbs, but the good thing with this one is, it won't irritate or burn your eyes.

If I know I'm not really going to be out in the sun very much, I will skip this. I am using Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer (which has some additional sunblock) with a light dusting of Laura Mercier Loose Translucent powder on top. This is a very light, no makeup summery day time look. I love the LM Tinted Moisturizer though because it's really pigmented and concentrated, so you get decent coverage. The original formula is better than the oil free also, I've tried both. The oil free formula is thicker, and just as greasy IMO, and the colors look different. The original is thinner and blends easier.

I mentioned before, my ultimate goal is to be able to go without ANY foundation, or at least the bare minimum possible. I am trying to get my skin naturally perfect! I agree about all the chemicals, this is why I am trying to fix my skin so I don't have to wear foundation/powder.

Also thank you JD for your advice on dermal fillers! I'm pretty sure I remember you saying before that getting lip injections was some of the best money you ever spent and I totally agree!

I just got mine done for the first time on Friday and I'm hooked! We went for a very modest change this time, but next time I want more!!!
