Has anyone been there before? What's it like?
I was going to say the same thing, Vegas for Seniors
My parents, both 78, like to go there because it's not so "Vegas'ee" and my mom likes the nickle slots.
I've never been there myself though ... so YMMV.

It's been awhile, but yes. I just have to ask though - WHY? lol It wouldn't even be on my radar for someplace enjoyable.
Don't you ever sleep?
Not at night...that's when the stars have rather better things to do. They're coming out, shining, that sort of thing.

The only way to know is go visit and see the apartments, and what is around.

Amusing! I hate to say this, because my parents loved living in small towns, but I TOTALLY agree. I even hate Co. Springs because I feel like nothing I ever need is here & I'm always going back up to Denver. I shouldn't have moved down here. Ugh, sticking to bigger cities!

I'm fine with no good malls or entertainment.... but I need some good healthy food options wherever I go! Here is great for that, two Whole Foods, farmers' markets all the time, regular stores carry lots of organic stuff, grass fed and finished butchers....

A conundrum: I'm picking southern Nevada because I'd still be able to maintain close ties with my life in San Diego(spend the summers in SD, short trips throughout the rest of the year) but I forgot about one thing.............my cat. I can't leave him alone for days at a time, let alone a whole summer. I wouldn't want to leave him at a cat motel, I'm not confident that I can bring him with me on my travels to SD..... If I had someone that I trusted who wanted a cat I would give him away but I don't.

White meat, low fat, four drumsticks.
Cat, what's not to like?

He read that over my shoulder and he is not happy with you...........

HOT and lots of Bugs... but hey they have casinos![]()
My sister in law lives nearby in Arizona, and the airline connections there are much more limited than in Vegas. And it is HOT.

I think Laughlin is out of the question. Not enough to get me through day to day life there, which says a LOT because I don't need much.
The Lake Tahoe area looks like a dream! That's the kind of scenery that I LOVE but if I lived there I would be trapped there. I prefer driving for most of my traveling and I know that I wouldn't be able to handle driving on the mountain roads at all. Plus I'm too used to not having to deal with actual winters.![]()

Laughlin is small, HOT AS FUCK, and kinda boring. If you own a boat it is infinitely better, and still kinda lame. I must add a disclaimer though - I know several people who live there and LOVE IT, so there must be something to it...
