Question Anyone Cam FULLTIME? Covers Your Bills?

edit: Just curious if anyone STRICTLY cams full-time to cover their bills since I'm hoping to do the same. How much "roughly" do you make monthly? What does it cover? Is it exhausting?

There are posts on here of those who tried and still needed to find work outside of camming. And then there are those who do just fine, it's not easy though. It's too much of a roller-coster and a risk, but it can be done. I only work part-time (10-15 hours) and can usually make $300-$700 a week for now (more than I'd make a week doing 40 hours at just above minimum wage), but I'm also married and he works full-time. I would do this full-time only if I absolutely HAD to and only temporarily until something else came along that was less stressful.

    Good luck!

I cam to cover my bills, with no other jobs on the side to help out. I don't do it full time, though, probably 10-12 hours per week. I'm single and childless and don't have any spending habits. Camming covers my (low) rent, utilities, clothes shopping and I have leftover money that I use to pay my debts or treat myself to something or save. It can be done, but I suggest you try out camming first before you drop other jobs, and then saving up some amount to keep on the side for slow days...say 1 month's expenses, just in case. Camming is comission based and most people's earnings fluctuate. So, in order to avoid the panicky feeling on those slow days/weeks, I'd definitely suggest having some cushion money.

    Good luck!

Hi Lady X! For me it's been real up/down due health and some other major issues. I really just kinda started, after some prvevious tries w/regular work mixed in that also didn't work out. Plus I pso, which I'm going to phase out since the co. is shiite.
It's EXTREMELY exhausting for me, much more than I realized, & I thought it would since phone is, & this even more so since your 'whole self' is out there, not just voice.
Anyway, I'm trying to keep all my 'balls in the air' until I see how cam works out, but I am looking into my chosen field, healtcare until I can get started with that, cam is more supplimentary now, and just slightly so.
    Good luck hun

It can be exhausting, but personally, I think other jobs would be far more exhausting. The tricky thing is that even if you make a lot, you never know when that will drop dramatically. So while I can cover my rent and bills and general cost of living, I try to keep all of that as low as possible so I can save for slow months.

I do--and somedays are better than others, although I can't say what I am making, I will say that I've never made less than $700 in a week, and making thousands in a week is pretty reasonable if you apply yourself.

It is very exhausting though, but really, so is any job. I can tell you sitting here on my bed and screwing myself a few times a night is far less tiring than stripping.

Biggest thing to remember is don't let a bad night or two make you panic. I've have $30 days that made me sink, and then the next day make hundreds in only an hour.

Once you start building up a loyal clientele, it starts to come easier.

I have been a full time camgirl for many many years. My husband is going to school and doesnt have a job and my camming supports our family very well. I usually work till I make a certain amount a week, my goal was $1500 and that took 15-30 hours. With the SM party chat I am increasing my goal to $2,000 a week which seems to take around 15 hours to make. I do work daytime hours so traffic is slower but I just hate working nights. Sundays are also the most profitable days, 9 times outta 10 on a Sunday I'll make double what I make during the week. Also I rarely work more than 2 hours at a time so I dont get worn out.

I've been camming exclusively for a year now. Webcam definitely pays my bills provided I actually put some effort in. On good weeks I work 20-25 hours and earn $800-$1000 or more. Some weeks though I lack self-discipline and motivation, and end up working only a couple hours here and there or none at all. That has been my biggest problem overall when it comes to camming: I have to be my own boss but sometimes I'm not a very good one.

I'm not "full time" as in 40 hours, but I get enough to pay my bills. I actually just recently started making enough to do that, thank god.
Rent is cheap for me though, because I live in a southern state + college town. I split rent with my boyfriend and two other roommates.
I'm sure if I lived in a more expensive area that I would get a regular job, just for the stable income.

Yep you can say I use camming to pay all of my bills. I actually just signed a lease and my bills should be about 1500-1600 per month which isn't much at all! So basically I can aim for $500 a week and be fine. Obviously I'll want to make extra for spending money and emergencies, but yeah I'm almost full time. Figure I'll aim for $800-$900 a week once I move. I'm not money hungry nor am I materialistic. Between camming and PSO,I'll be good

I'm not full time by any means. Like Smurfette, i am crap at motivating myself and sometimes only get on cam for a couple of hours once or twice a week. But yes it pays my bills, and there is the freedom to work your ass off when you know you need extra money for something x

I am a total slacker and avoid getting on cam till the very last minute, I set my goal at $500 a week and have never had a problem making my goal as long as I get my butt in gear. I do have a SO that supports the majority of our bills but camming allows me to save money. Once I actually work it is pretty easy to meet a small goal in working just a couple hours a day and I am not a top row girl, but I do have a few repeat customer that come by daily to do long shows. Thanks to them it makes earning my money a little easier but even on days that it sucks I know I can put in extra time to make up for the bad days.

yeah im planning to definitely do camming full time..i was only doing it part time ($250 a week now)..but since i got a new apartment i need to raise my goal now to only $500-600 which is still do-able!

i dont see any problems with reaching goals, u just have to have alot of determination, and will.. to get the hustle on!

After one day on MFC... i have no idea how you could do FT camming. If the room was slow i was bored and begging basic members to chat with me. Of course i fear my dreaded camscore, so i would log off during slow times. I want to try SM, but i wont get fully nude (panties on. Always) so im not sure it would be worth the time and effort. I hope my traffic picks up and i start making more $$$. Its easy to get topless in free the first couple times, but after tips stop and i redress its 10x harder to get the tokens.
