    Default Saddest Video Ever

This is one of the saddest but most beautiful videos I've ever seen. It really reminded me of how blessed we are to ever know the unconditional love of an animal. If you have a pet, please watch this and then give your little friend a hug and a kiss and say thank you after.

    I wasn't really moved much by it; I guess it's because I don't have a pet.

I actually cry really easily; especially when it comes to animals. I guess the reason I wasn't sad, was because the dog had good owners and he was dying peacefully. Plus, animals get put down all the time. If it would have been a clip of an abused dog, it would have been a whole different ballgame with me.

The video was a beautiful tribute to Oden. He was very much loved; may he rest in peace.

You're right, Sammi--there are so many animals who are abused and have never experienced good, loving care. May they all find good homes with owners who take good care of them.

I can't watch that kind of shit right now lol. I don't meant to make light of it, far from it. I want a cat so bad (but not quite enough to give up this killer apartment right down in the best part of Key West). And I always had dogs growing up, I love animals and this stuff will get to me.

It sounds like a good kind of sad video, though. I will check it out after I have slept maybe.

I tell you what busted me right up, was the linked video on the side there--I posted about it before--where the cat tries to save its dying friend cat hit by a car. Apparently the cat lived thanks partly to his friend kitty--and also people saw this happening and took it to a vet. Most of those videos show it apparently dying and people are crying in their comments.

It was so weird though--I posted in as many as I could find that the cat probably lived, and wound up getting some angry and insulting replies! WTF??

I saw that video, man it was so fucking sad. The cat did end up dying a short time after. I guess when we see the loyalty of animals we are reminded of the possibilities of that loyalty within each one of us, and it is a beautiful thing.

The saddest thing I've ever seen is the essay "How Could You" by Jim Willis. There are several copies at YouTube but basically the gist is about this dog who is loved by his owner, then the owner starts concentrating on work and finding a wife. He gets married, had kids and pretty much neglects the dog. Then later on the family moves and drops the dog at the shelter while the kid is screaming "don't let them take my dog". I can't type the rest because I am tearing up thinking of it but I can't read it without bawling. When I first read it I cried for a week.

I contacted Jim Willis about it and he thanked me for the compliment and he often allows people to use it to spread the problem of people thinking of animals as disposable. He told me that the story was based on one of his dogs, that he adopted the day before she was to have been killed. That the dog it was based on was dumped at a kill shelter at the age of 8 after having been with a family since she was a puppy. I could never do this to my animals and would live in my car before I would ditch them.

This video spoke my heart when I think about all the years Kikiwiki gave me and the last moments I had with her. Nothing teaches unconditional love like the love of an animal. Thank you so much for posting.

But I saw a Chilean TV show YouTube version that apparently said the cat lived. I don't speak Spanish but it said something like 'hero cat saves friend' in Spanish. They kept showing the paws massaging the heart area with red circles on it, and showed the cat in the vet's office hooked up to oxygen or whatever.

Now I have to find the link so I can show you--I posted it in reply to someone who actually sent me an e-mail through YouTube telling me I was a liar and an asshole for saying the cat probably lived, etc.

Maybe the cat did die, but why show it at the vets and the paws massaging with red circles three times in the video?? Or maybe they were wrong.
