    Crossfingers Highlight disaster

So I have naturally dark brown hair and always get caramel and blonde highlights weaved throughout. I just had a touch up done and my hair is PURPLE - like a lilac, red, purple, nasty yellow blonde MESS.

My hair dresser conveniently has not been returning my calls. When I left she told me to just wash it with a clarifying shampoo and that would take "the red out" but it's 5 days later and I still look emo.

What did she do wrong? What can I do to fix this? I have longish hair and do not want to ruin it any more. Please help!

I'd go in to her salon and demand my money back if it were me! Then I'd go make an appointment with a professional color specialist. I'd be hopping mad if this happened to me.

I had someone do a shit job on my hair recently..I went back had her correct it. She didnt charge me for the correction. But I was overly generous knew she has several kids to support and left her a 20% tip anyway. She fixed it..She did a shit job but then took the time to think it through and get it right. I was extremely cool about it and that only helped me. Sometimes stylists rnt as good w color as they need to be and they dont know what colors ur going to pull. For ex some people like me pull alot of "brass" so I always warn them so they can put some shades to counteract the yellowness. It happens..sometimes stylists fuck up. Thats why imho some people rnt meant to be stylists but when u get a bad one u just have to work through it with them. Who wants to shell out another 100+ dollars elsewhere? not me..

I would go back & demand my money..if you don't get it, file a case w/bbb.org (better business bureau). I would also report her to the state licensing board.
    What is it w/these people?
I myself am going back tomorrow to the salon where I had mine done, (which I've gone to on & off for years) it's not as drastic as your situation, but not what I wanted. In the past, I've allowed them to fix up goofs, but this is one time too many.

I gotta echo the 'get your money back' suggestions. Also.....from your pic I think it looks pretty neat!

Well, I went back to my former salon (never going there again) & got my $ back.
Previously, I'd allowed them to fix it, but really it should be done right the 1st time, not to mention the length of my hair doesn't need to be re-processed, I was a long time (if on & off) customer.
Although the pic doesn't look so bad (maybe lighting?) when you have that much gone bad, it's pretty hard to fix under the best of circumstances.
Anyway, good luck, I hope you get your $ back, in the meantime, w/professional advice/consult maybe you could do a semi-perm color until it grows out?
