    Arrow BEST Juicer?

Can someone here please recommend me a good/heavy duty juicer in which you're happy with. I spent hours trying to juice some wheat grass with veggies and berries and big(unshredded) chunks would spit out on the other side. It was so annoying. UGH. Old school juice machine.

I have the Jack Lalane power juicer, and it's awesome. I've gone through a couple of different ones, and this is by far the strongest.

However, to juice wheat grass, you actually need a separate wheat grass juicer like this

A wheatgrass juicer can also juice fruits/veggies, but you have to cut the pieces up pretty small to fit into the mouth.

I agree with getting a separate wheatgrass juicer.

I have a Phillips Robust collection HR1881 for everything else.

Just to let you know, you can buy frozen wheatgrass juice shots @ Whole Foods. I have tried them, & thought they were comparable to the fresh. I don't know the brand or the price.
Also, I have seen on hsn shopping network, a juicer by Montel Williams that looked good, kinda pricey though, it had flex pay. It's the kind that heat liquids with the speed/vibrations. I was interested in it, but can't get it right now.
Whatever you get, can you let us know? Thanks.

I have a hurom slow juicer, and its awesome, it doesnt waste much, is nice looking and really quiet. Its also cheaper than the other single gear juicers like green star. After I got my hurom I ended up giving away my Jack Lalane one.

But you won't get the same enzymatic benefits with the frozen

I'm curious where to get fresh wheatgrass. I've been wanting to try it.

You can grow it, just go to the bulk bins of your local healthfood store, get a bag full of whole wheat berries, soak them over night then spread them out over a thin layer of vermiculite or soil on the bottom of a large shallow container (like the ones you use to start seedlings, or whatever you have lying around that's similar). Spray it with water 1-2 times per day and voila, you have wheat grass within 5-10 days. Way cheaper than buying the flats of fresh wheat grass @ like 17$ each imho.

I just use a blender, that way I get every part of the veggie.

I have a Breville, and it's INCREDIBLE for fruit / vege juics. But not the best for grasses / herbs / greens.

This is the one I have:

    http://www.amazon.com/Breville-800JE...1639380&sr=8-3

It will last forever...it is extraordinarily durable...it has a very wide feeding tube...and it juices things very, very quickly. Downsides: you'll want to have a dishwasher if you buy it...there are a number of parts to clean. And, like I said, not very good for greens / herbs / grasses. But for everything else, from carrots to apples to pomegranates...this thing is a BEAST.

Good idea! That way you can still get all of the fiber, which has a lot of nutritional value.

I second the blender idea and a separate wheat grass juicer. The VitaMix is supposed to be the best blender. You won't lose all the fiber & vitamins in the pulp or spike your blood sugar like you will with a juicer. It will leave you much fuller for a lot longer, plus blended smoothies don't immediately oxidize like juice does.

I love the breville, but it works for greens for me.

^ Mine will juice them...just not as well as other kinds of juicers. It isn't its strength.
