Default Which John Frieda Blonde Shampoo?

Any of you blondes out there that use or have used this line of shampoos, which do you recommend? I have caramel, some honey, and some very light blonde highlights throughout my hair. My hair dresser used watered down bleach and it took two visits to get this full spectrum of brown-blonde highlights. I know since it's bleach they will lighten on their own as time goes by, but I was wondering if there is a shampoo out there that will bring out the blonde and really make it lighten/vibrant like the sun lightened it type of look, WITHOUT changing my natural dark brown/almost black color at the roots.

I already tried Joico Color Endure Violet shampoo and wasn't too thrilled with it. It hardly made a difference and was extremely drying. In the past, I've used Goldwell Live Blonde shampoo which I liked, but if there is something better (and cheaper) out there and I'm all for trying it.....

So, with the John Frieda, there are several options:

    1. http://www.johnfrieda.com/en-US/Prod...-Darker-Shades

This is the color of my highlights, with a few eve lighter ones mixed throughout. I'm not sure if I should just get this, or if the other one for lighter blonde would make a more dramatic difference (without lightening my natural dark roots)

    2. http://www.johnfrieda.com/en-US/Prod...Lighter-Shades

This is the one for lighter shades of blonde. I also wonder if this would be more drying than the one for darker blonde.

    3. http://www.johnfrieda.com/en-US/Prod...hening-Shampoo

Here is one for all blondes.... would it really make my hair that much shinier, versus the other two blonde shampoos?

    4. http://www.johnfrieda.com/en-US/Prod...tening-Shampoo

This one is supposed to lighten your hair, would it lighten my natural color as well as my highlights?

Any other suggestions would be appreciated!

I like the purple stuff you can put in for blonde highlights. you can find it at salley's beauty.http://www.sallybeauty.com/blonde-sh...l?cm_vc=SEARCH

Be careful though, using it too much will make your hair grayish purple.

Go for Nexxus's brand silver shampoo. It used to be called Simply Silver but they re packaged and changed the name. I've been using it since high school on my natural and lightened blonde hair and it far surpasses anything JF has to offer. I recently went back to blonde (brunette does just not suit me) but have been avoiding it because I want to keep my honey/beige blonde and that shampoo will really lighten/whiten blonde. I used to just mix a little with my regular shampoo. The longer you leave it on the better but it can give you a purple haze if you have very light hair.

Welcome to the blonde side JD!

    CLAIROL Shimmer Lights Shampoo Silver

I only used this for almost a year now, only trust this one with my blonde hair to get the brass out. My hairdressor suggested it for me, I use every other wash and leave it in for 10 mins or so.

#4 brought out my platinum highlights best.

Purple shampoo is my favorite though, as I like my blonde more ashy.

Check the ingredient list to see if it has chemicals to lighten your hair. You don't want your darker browns to turn brown-orangey.

I use john frieda, every now and again to freshen up my hair...it just seems to brighten it, not lighten it...and i use the lightest colour one...
I'm here to make money. NOT make friends, if I make a friend then it's a bonus.

I'd rather be absolutely ridiculous that absolutely boring

Sure they do! The JF shampoos and conditioners will dry out your blonde highlights and make them super frizzy.

I personally never liked any of the blonde shampoos JF was just not good quality and any of the salon purple ones just left a gross waxy film on my hair. My friend swears by the TiGi dumb blonde and she does have glorious blonde soft hair. I never tried it myself though.

Was just reading my label on my Nexxus SS and it contains parabens. Almost all the silver shampoos do I'm finding. I did find a brand AG that makes one without parabens. I'm investigating Paul Mitchell's Platinum BLonde as well...
