If a guy were crazy enough to contact the shipper to figure out who you are, he could easily stalk your mailman/your mailbox and get the info alot quicker. I think its pretty safe to say that if you have someone with that mindset that is obsessed with you, Amazon is the least of your worries. Also, it is much easier to find out exactly who someone is through their IP.
Your "name" (fictitious or not) as well as your city state is revealed in the info in your public profile there. You could send packages to Minnie Mouse for all Amazon cares and it doesnt matter as long as the shipping address you have on file with them is valid. If youre concerned with a valid breach in your personal security (like them revealing ALL of your info to someone after you specifically chose an item non 3rd party) double check their TOS & contact them immediately and demand an answer as to why this happened to you.
