I'm wanting to do a little travelling and dancing, so was wondering how things are over Tokyo way?

Read the book Greener by Jenna Whitefield on Amazon
It's about her experience in Japan.
"Where there is love there is life"-Mahatma Gandhi
"Be The Best, F!ck The Rest"- P.P.

I really can't say how things are in Tokyo from personal experience, I have been asking my Japanese customers from Tokyo how things are going and some are telling me lots of businesses are hurting and some are saying lots of things are getting better. one thing about Japanese is they are very fast at making come backs. I was going to go dance at 7th heaven in ropongi last year but i was never able to. From what I've been told dancing in Japan is very different than the states. 1big difference is Japanese don't tip, instead they choose a girl and they pay a certain amount to spend time with the girl, buy her drinks and all, kinda like you are more of a hostess type for them.

Oh no i hear the clubs in Japan are very professional and classy, I would seriously doubt that.
I always thought I'd enjoy the clubs over there because there are more nichey sort of things that Japanese men are into that I would cater to: anime costumes, etc.

I haven't danced in japan but have always wanted to. I'm pretty sure there were a few Aussie girls that used to (years ago now) and haven't posted in a while now. I know it's not recent info but maybe try and do a search for some of these posts.
Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once.
I haven't danced there either. But please make sure you get govt approval from the Japanese Government to work there. If they find that you are working there and you don't have a visa they won't hesitate to throw you in prison!

Oh ! Bummer on the visa thing. I love traveling dancer stories so if anyone has more to share, please post!I'm sure if you are serious about it, you can get a visa.

Yes but I have heard it is VERY hard! From what I have heard you basically have to marry a Japanese to get papers.
When I worked there the club was raided by the police and I basically had to escape out in the back...I ran up a lot of stairs and found a little storage room where I was hiding while the police was searching the building...it was hard-core- PLUS it was in November or December so f^cking freezing and just wearing something very tiny.....after that I also had to walk out in the street wearing close to nothing to make my way back to the club.....oooh good times!!!
Anyways, all girls without papers were lucky that night. The once that were still left in the club had papers so noone was deported or sent to prison, but that would have been my case if I didnt manage to get away....after that incident I stayed another month or so but I had to work in the club with NORMAL clothes as if I was a costumer...so that if the police would come back it wouldnt look as if I was working...it was VERY WEIRD...!!! They also had to take the poles down for some reason so we had to dance on stage with no pole, it was just akward.
It was a big disapointment for me because when I went for the first time it was SO GOOD to work there, I really loved it...I guess it was too good to be true!
